  1. I'm not entirely sure 'sharing' a compiled arm .iso for Windows is even legal tbh.
  2. I mean, he gave you the answer. Whether or not you choose to put forth the time/effort is up to you.
  3. I haven't followed every second of the latest debacle, so I may be missing some details. In all fairness, Elon does make a good case that journalists were doxxing his location and putting himself and his family in danger. I believe there is also a picture or video circulating where Elon caught a guy in a mask slowly driving by...I'm not sure if this was a 'hit job' or just an intimidation tactic. If this is indeed true, a ban (and possible charges) are 100% warranted for those responsible. Elon can do whatever he wants, he owns Twitter. Unfortunately, at least in the states, 'honest' reporting is hard to find and you are forced to look at multiple sources to get a non-biased depiction of a story. There always seems to be 'political motivation' factored into how a story is reported. Let's just agree, both sides of the political isle are hypocrites when it comes to free speech.
  4. Netflix has become near unwatchable. We canceled our membership months ago because there literally is nothing on there. We did enjoy Cobra Kai, The Witcher and stranger things, but no reason to pay $15 a month while we wait for the seasons to renew. The quality of the series/movies on there is about on par with free services like Pluto TV and Roku TV.
  5. I have a hard time believing this will become a practical and affordable energy source anytime soon. To me it sounds like more hype by a mainstream media machine that has proven in the past they don't want to do the leg work or the research to fully understand what they are reporting on. I hope that I'm wrong.
  6. Most hobby grade rc cars, planes, boats, etc have an alarm or a lipo shutoff built into the esc (speed controller) to prevent the battery from falling below a certain voltage.
  7. I I assume you've never played MS Flight Simulator 2020. On 'ultra', even the most powerful GPU's struggle to do 30 fps.
  8. I know this thread is a few weeks old now, so my apologies if you've already found an answer. If you're creative (and technical enough) you may be able to find an old laptop dirt cheap, gut it and find a way to connect the screen so dex sees it as a connected monitor. I would imagine this may be a little tricky and require a fair bit of research. Would be a cool project though!

Realized today that my little Samsung phone wit…

I've been using DEX almost exclusively as a 'pc', except for gaming for the past year. It feels 'snappier' than an entry level laptop, probably closer to a mid grade, in terms of responsiveness and switching between applications (this is on a Galaxy S20) - I know that is subjective. The small size, power efficiency and the fact it doesn't heat up my small office is quite appealing. There are a few annoyances and glitches that come up from time to time. However, it works fine to check email, run openoffice apps, text, post to forums or surf the web. GeForce Now is pretty cool for running full pc games in DEX. 1080 resolution is fine for me. I do wish I could use dual monitors though.
  10. Fair enough. My character is a wizard and I find the bosses difficult...then again, I'm a noob using the 'weakest' class in this game.
  11. Not always. Prebuilts often include much more generous warranties and support than individual components found in a custom built pc. It's all a matter of preference, but there are some very decent prebuilts out there, Lenovo, IMO is a pretty good example.
  12. Personally, I'd go for a prebuilt with a Ryzen 3, 5 or even a modern Athlon APU. If you find one with a SSD, that will make the PC feel 'snappier'. 8 gb of RAM is probably sufficient, but make sure there is room to add in the future.
  13. Ethernet will usually (if not 99% of the time) have lower ping times than wifi6. Whether it is worth it to wire up your house is up to you.
  14. I mean, personally having Roku media player I wouldn't be able to justify buying Nvidia shield. It works fine.
  15. I don't believe crypto is going to die. The issue has a lot to do with the feds (in the U.S.) raising interest rates and pretty much 90% of the world markets tanking right now. Now is not the time to mine, but it will rebound...eventually. I'm probably going to halt mining eth and hold what I have until the prices go back up as I'm just wasting electricity at this point. This however, is good news for gamers wanting a GPU - that is, if the supply chain f ups allow a steady supply.
  16. Okay, sorry I didn't catch that you were considering buying single rank ram. IMO, I would stay away as I've read that there is a pretty significant performance degration with Ryzen CPU's and single rank DDR4 RAM. From what I've gathered, it's around 10-15% Whether or not you'll be able to maintain 60 fps is a toss-up, depending on the title. The GPU should be more than adequate but I'm not sure about whether you'll experience enough of a CPU bottleneck to drop under 60 fps.
  17. It is my understanding that higher resolutions, such as 4k utilize the GPU more than the CPU. Also, your desired frame rate isn't something way out there, so I don't believe you will have any sort of severe CPU bottleneck. I have a R5 1600 AF, RX 5700 (non XT) and my ram is only clocked to 2800 mhz. Although I'm running 1080p @ 60 hz, I've never had any type of stuttering issues in any games.
  18. I have yet to see excessive ads on the PC version. If they are there, my brain must be trained to ignore them. Mainly I've done rifts and they are a bit challenging if you're playing solo. Since when has Diablo not been a buttom smashing title? LOL
  19. But in the end, he is the boss and he makes the call. I'm sure he has legit reasons for wanting people in the office and he's not just being an ahole.
  20. Blows the mind, doesn't it? Arrogance just oozes from that statement.
  21. Okay...so as far as I'm aware, Elon isn't holding a gun to his employees heads forcing them to work there. It always astounds me how people complain about the (legal) rules employers set and seem determined to stir up outrage. All of this wasted energy could be used in finding an employer they REALLY want to be involved with.

i got an AMD Athlon II X2 250 for free yesterda…

I love old CPU's and PC's, in general...I'm not sure why. LOL I'd use it for a pretty kick-ass gaming emulator. You may be able to use it for a NAS or for (direct) Plex streaming.

The Itasha i designed in Forza Horizon 5:

Dang, I had no idea the game looked that good.
  24. They did release it for PC...I've downloaded it, although I haven't tried it yet. The mobile version is pretty fun but after about 15 minutes of playing I realize it runs a bit sluggish. I'm running a S20, which is a few years old but the slowdowns do get a bit annoying during battles.
  25. That sucks...can you go through a VPN?
