I decide to pursuit my major for "Computer Science/Software Engineer," and I know it require a lot of programming which it involving using the keyboard a lot. I am curious if buying a mechanical keyboard is worth it. I currently own GIGABYTE GK-K6800 keyboard. It is a really good keyboard but one thing that pisses me off is the Backspace Key and Enter Key. If you look at the screen shot at Amazon, you will notice why. I don't know which mechanical keyboard that I should grab. There are a lot of "switches" to choose, and my cousin told me "Blue/Brown" is a good for typing while somewhat mediocre for gaming. I am not a hundred percent sure about "Green" from Razerblade. I just want a Red and Black Mechanical Keyboard (Red for Blacklit/maybe Green) and black for the keyboard in order to fit my PC colors. I was thinking to wait for my parents, my little bro and I decide to move into a new house away from this apartment and maybe grab it on the holiday seasons. What are your thoughts?

That would be sick! Maybe a mechanical bluetooth keyboard that you can connect all of the OS devices. You can type incredible fast for your essay/reports/whatever on your tablet, text to your friends then jump straight the game on your gaming PC on a same bluetooth keyboard.

Thanks for the help guys. I would consider upgrading my OS SSD to 120GB/128GB SSD and maybe my GPU in the future. <.< I forgot to mention, my 1TB HDD is getting full, so I need to upgrade it too, lol.

Right now I have: Intel Core i5 2500k 8GB RAM (Probably Kingston) 1333 Mhz ASUS P8Z68-V LX Sandisk 64GB SSD (OS) (Replace my HDD) OCZ 128GB SSD (Programs and Softwares) (Replace my HDD) Western Digital 1TB HDD 5400 RPM GTX 670 (Upgraded from GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr II 1GB VRAM) Corsair HX 750W (Upgraded from Corsair CX 600W) Now, I am curious if I should make any changes to it such as the CPU, MoBo, RAM, OS SSD and a 1TB HDD. My OCZ SSD, GPU and PSU is decent. I still have 95% space left over on my Program and Software SSD. GPU is still decent for most gaming even though I haven't been into gaming lately due to the fact that it is getting a bit boring, but I might consider it if it is worth shelling out $300-$500 dollar GPU. For PSU, well, it is quite obvious that most of my hardware doesn't use most of the PSU. I was thinking about changing to: Intel Core i5 2500k -> Intel Core i7 2600K/2700k or maybe Haswell i5/i7. 8GB RAM 1333 MHz -> 16GB RAM 1333 MHz or 8GB RAM 1066/1600. Sadly, it doesn't work out that way compare to English. For English, we can pretty much create words by using letter while Chinese's character is like word or full word. It is extremely difficult to do it without a proper stuff that will allow him to hand write it and send it go Google, so he can search movies/TV etc. How about try to imagine all of your keys on your keyboard in any words, every keys on your keyboard is in words rather letters? Let me know if you can "manage" to do anything with it. Anyway, I found out an android tablet might work. I can try to hand write it and search it on my tablet at Google Chrome that my account is sign in. Then go to the desktop PC, go to Google and look up the history search from the tablet. I have tried Google Translate before, but it is annoying and infuriating because A) I can't read Chinese's Characters. B) My parents has limited knowledge on English, so they can't properly translate the Chinese's character from word to word to me otherwise I will zone out. I thought of getting a Wacom Tablet to let him write it and be done with it. Well, I think it might work if I add the Chinese's Language Pack onto the W7, then add a keyboard dock on the task bar, etc. But I need some confirmation that someone actually made it work.

I understand what you are trying to say, but tablet is the way go for me. You cannot "properly" take notes for math formulas. You either need a pen and paper or a touch screen device with proper pen input. I already have a gaming laptop, and I don't think it is worth to buy another laptop. Beside, tablet are light, portable and can be used with one hand maybe on a go while laptop. I have to find a place where I can put my laptop to use either on lap or desk/table, or any flat surface. In the end, what matter is which device can help you get done.

True. In the end, my primary focus is the pen input and palm rejection which T100 lack, so I can do a hand written note taking. Yeah, the tablet OS is extremely limited, but in the end, what matter is which tablets will help you get through the school without a problem. I would love to own an iPad, but they lack the pen input and palm rejection which it is a downer for me. I am not a hundred percent sure if the new iPad Air 2 will have it, but I am not going to wait and find out like in 75% to 80% of my Fall class.

That is true. Having a full MS Office is really useful after all I paid $70/$80 bucks for the Office 365 University. However, like I said about W8 products, I need at least 4GB RAM. Which it is going to cost at least a grand. Also I heard that Microsoft will finally make a tablet Microsoft Office App on Android.

Is it awkward to carrying a 12" tablet to class?

I would consider it, but I think the Synpatic Touch isn't that good compare to the S-Pen. Also I don't feel comfortable using a window product with either 2GB or 4GB RAM. I prefer a minimum of 6GB, but I think it is going to be out of my budget.

Right now, I am on the verge on buying a tablet for college. I cannot wait for the new tablets on Fall 2014 or Holiday seasons because I doubt there will be anything "new", but I might be wrong. Either way, I am not going to give up roughly majority of my notes on paper. I mean there isn't anything wrong with it, but I like to keep my notes light and organize on a tablet/online storage. Anyway, I will be using the tablet for note taking purpose with a stylus/pen or keyboard, surfing on the internet, checking emails, watching YouTube videos/watch live stream, etc. I only manage to come up with two tablets that might work, but I am not sure: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition 32GB or Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 32GB. Also I will probably buy the tablet at bhphotovideo.com because they don't charge tax nor shipping, so I am pretty paying just the product's price. Any opinions or ideas?

Not that there is anything wrong it, but I want it to be a 10" - 13" tablet for school use. And it will be running on Android OS. Again, nothing wrong with it, but I think it is an overkill to have an Intel CPU on an android tablet.
