  1. Hello LTT, I am looking for a BT earbud about $100 for my work. I have been using Creative Outlier Air before. It is not bad just that it hurts my ear for long period of use. I tried out Redmi Airdots while it is small and nice but the pairing is painful. After that, I got Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro. It is great for almost everything but it doesn't stay in my ear long period. Requires: IP Water Resistant USB C Able to use either Left or Right earbud (since I switch between left and right earbud throughout my work day) Noise isolation (no hard tips) About 7 hours of battery life on the earbud Stays in my ear and doesn't hurt as much Optional: Wireless Charging Noise cancellation Thank you,
  2. I am aware this is a stupid question. I really need to confirm it. It is about my cousin. Several days ago, he told me his computer was lagging so bad and randomly get BSOD. Few days later, he told me he fixed it because his Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse was low on battery, so he charge it and fixed it. After that, he told me it might have been his modem/router that caused his computer to slow. Lastly, he recently told me Spectrum guy came and fixed his internet. No more lag. I am pretty sure modem/router or internet doesn't cause computer to lag, right?
  3. True. I just wanted a light laptop with a decent battery life to carry from class to class not lug it.
  4. Hello LTT, Right now, I am in a market of laptop/ultrabook. I'll be using my laptop/ultrabook for school especially for Programming that uses Java and Netbean. I do prefer having a 13" screen and decent battery life. My budget is roughly $700 at max. I don't plan to do gaming on it since I have a gaming PC. Thank you,
  5. Hello LTT, I think it is time for me to upgrade my Surface Pro 3 i3/4GB RAM/128GB SSD for about 2-3 years. I am somewhat feeling the age of the hardware, RAM along with the 128GB SSD and possibly a USB Type-C charging port. I really like the idea of only bringing one wall charger and can charge both my phone and tablet or laptop at a same time without needing to carry two separate chargers. I don't really know whether I should get a tablet or laptop. Using laptop will require me to go back to old school with paper and pen or using a tablet with notes on tablet. Nothing wrong with either of them because both are pretty good. I did have three options in mind: Huawei MateBook HZ-W19, Microsoft Surface Book (1st Gen) and lastly, Xiaomi Air Laptop 13.3. I saw Huawei MateBook for $399.99 with an Intel Core m5 (1.1 GHz), 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and charges by USB Type-C. It does uses a Pen and folio keyboard case but will cost separately. Then there is a Microsoft Surface Book (1st Gen) with i5-6300U (2.5 GHz), 8GB RAM but 128GB SSD and cost $599.99 for pre-owned but uses Surface Connect. Lastly, Xiaomi Air Laptop 13" which is i5-6200 (2.3 GHz), 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD plus a GT 940MX or MX 150 ($70 dollar more), but it does get charged by USB Type-C. It cost either $719.99 (GT 940MX) or $789.99 (MX 150). My budget is definitely under $800 dollar but more cheaper is better. I don't mind pre-owned or refurbished as long it has somewhat a warranty to cover it. My tasks: School, light gaming use and programming. Any opinions/thoughts or recommendations if my three options doesn't work. Thank you very much,
  6. Sorry about taking a while. I felt a bit lazy for a day, lol. Now, I am back and actually did it. I finally got it to work. Apparently, I have to put it in a Slot 1 and Slot 2 and it finally register as 16GB RAM! I always thought to either place a RAM in either Slot 1 and 3 or Slot 2 and Slot 4. I guess it is case close then. Thanks for the help along with everyone. I was very close to formatting my PC, lol. Sadly, I have tried doing my G.Skill RAM, and it doesn't work like it won't even boot up the Bios. PC turns on but the RAM prevents it from doing anything else beside turning on the PC. If only the G.Skill RAM work, I would've return the Corsair LPX and get my money back. I guess I could either return the G.Skill RAM for RMA and either sell it or keep it for the next future build that I believe either my dad or my little bro are planning to upgrade ...
  7. Hmm, I don't see anything about it. I will try again and see.
  8. I have check and make sure the RAM are seated properly. I did swap the RAM around.
  9. Hello LTT, I need your help. When I first upgrade my PC to AMD Ryzen and slap a good 16GB RAM that I found on sale. I thought I was set until my PC register the RAM is 7.95GB usable and my BIOS register it as 8GB RAM. I have no idea how to fix it and I assume it was due to the RAM not compatible. I also did replace my old Ryzen mobo because the Bios driver got corrupted while mid-updating. I waited until I recently order a different 16GB RAM that is actually supported by my motherboard supplied vendor. When I pop the baby in, it still register the RAM as 8GB. I have tried to remove the CMOS battery and waited 5-10 mins before installing it back in. I update my latest BIOS driver. Nothing. Not sure what is going on. PC Specs: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit AMD Ryzen 1700 @ 3.9 GHz G.Skill TridenZ Series 16GB 3000 MHz (8GBx2) ----> Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3200 MHz (8GBx2) Corsair H100i v2 ASUS Prime B350-Plus ----> MSI x370 SLI Plus GTX 670 ----> GTX 980 ti ACX Corsair HX 750W Thank you,
  10. My cousin's wedding not my sister. I don't have a sister. No, I'm not the only photographer in the wedding. I am pretty sure my cousin hired a professional photographer. I wanted it because I traveled from another state to my cousin's wedding with my family. It is for memories and I don't need any fancy features that I won't use or justify the costs of using it. Again, I mostly use it for my relatives weddings or on a vacation like I'm on right now with my family. I agree smartphones work just that I had issue with my phone camera app that made me mad. There are rare occasion that the camera app crashes and I lost all of the pictures that I took before it. Again, I'm not looking any features like recording 4K or whatever. It seem nice but prefer having a dedicated camera which my phone is fine with recording 4K videos. Yeah, like I said, I'm getting an older get mirrorless camera not the recent ones. Like Olympus E-PM2, Samsung NX1100, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1, Sony Alpha Nex-5 and more. It would be under $200 at eBay used.
  11. Ooh, thanks. It helps clarify it up. Just curious. What about those cameras that I mentioned that is under $200 on eBay? Are they worth it or what?
  12. Exactly. I tried looking up for point and shoot camera such as Sony DSC-W830, and I didn't really like it. Image quality felt a bit of worse than my smartphone IMO which I end up returning it. Plus I didn't realized how small the camera (Target didn't have it on display and it was in bundle that includes SD card and carrying case. That is why I was looking at mirrorless. It has a "compact" form and interchangeable lens. Again, I don't understand cameras specs that much. I thought I needed to find a biggest aperture, F/1.4 but couldn't because those ended up being F/2.3 or F/3.3. Then there are sensors like CCD and CMOS and I have no idea which one is good. So on and on about the rest. I did look it up for info about it and was thrown in confusion.
  13. I do agree that I won't get much and need to spend more for it. It is just that I can't justify for a $300-$400 camera. I mean I only use it for important things like my cousin's wedding, nice vacation, etc. Sure, my smartphone could do that without requiring me to spend single dollar for a camera, but it won't matched the quality of the actual camera with its optical zoom which smartphones doesn't have. Again, I believe used or refurbished ones could work, but I don't understand cameras that much. Like maybe Olympus E-PM2, Samsung NX1100, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1, Sony Alpha Nex-5, etc. Those were used and under $200 on eBay. Again, I don't know if they are any good since I don't have an internet nor computer at my grandma's house, and I'm just using my phone on data plan. I could possibly bump up my budget to under $300 used, refurbished or new if there isn't any good old used ones for under $200. Maybe like Fujitsu X-E1 for $249 on eBay.
  14. Hello LTT, I am considering to find a mirrorless camera. I don't mind buying an older generation mirrorless camera whether it is used, refurbished or new as can long it is "cheap." My budget is under $200. Thank you,
  15. Very well, I will wait and see if there is anything goes wrong. If so, then I will format it.
  16. Hmm, do I need to mess with my two hard drive if I planned to format it? Right now, I have a WD 1TB m.2 SSD, WD 1TB HDD and WD 2TB HDD. My 1TB m.2 SSD contain OS, Programs & Softwares and some games that I play a lot like Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, CS:GO, etc. My WD 1TB HDD contain junks like Chrome Download Folders, videos from Shadowplay and editing videos using Hitfilms. My WD 2TB HDD contain mostly games.
  17. Just a quick question. Since I swap my motherboard from ASUS Prime B350, I couldn't fix it no matter how much I tried. Decide to get a new mobo MSI X370 SLI Plus and curious if I need to format my PC after swapping my motherboard. Of course, I do planned to install all of the drivers for my motherboard. Thanks.
  18. Okay, I have tried both USB flash drive with the bios that has been renamed exactly in the manual and a CD. I connect a PS/2 keyboard and press F5. I plug in HDMI to my dedicated GPU, GTX 980 ti. Nothing seem to work.
