Japanese YouTuber Mutekimaru set up his pet fish to control a Nintendo switch to try to get the fish to complete Pokemon Scarlet and Violet through random chance.

The game crashed, and the fish's random motions ensured a bunch of havoc: showing the owner's credit card information, purchasing eShop credits, an avatar, and N64 Emulator, changing the account name, and triggering paypal emails.
 
 
 
This is what one gets for connecting a payment-linked device to a non-sapient creature.  While hilarious, it did reveal his credit card info to his viewers.  The story doesn't mention if any of the viewers attempted fraud, but it wouldn't surprise me if one of them had tried.

It is absolutely a problem with Tech and Amazon. Right now I'm sitting on a NF-F12 Chromax that was repackaged as a NF-A12x25 by someone previous that I need to return shortly. This is a lot more common than you think sadly.

Don't get me wrong, laser printers do the same crap and are just razor-and-blades as inkjet printers. It's just that toner carts are much better value for your money than inkjet ink carts, with the bonus of the toner still working perfectly even if you don't print something for a week.
 
The only good case for inkjet is photo printing, but even there you will lose less money long-term buy ordering photo prints online or doing them in a kiosk in a store.

Anything with wireless and electronics are prone to hacking. I still prefer the manual key insert method.

Damn at first I thought this was a step towards the omniverse. I predict once we have an interface with neurolink with our brains we'll have software or firmware based drugs. You'll be able to directly fine tune the chemicals to create whatever you want and then sell the firmware bundle. The price will reflect the complexity of the code and the understanding the programmer has of the software brain interaction. I wonder if it will create virtual dependencies? But then we would have the control to never have a dependencies or withdrawal. 

I applaud this change. Regular users should never be able to destroy a supposedly newcomer-friendly OS while trying to install a game launcher or any other program that isn't explicitly related to the core funtionalities of their distro. It's unintuitive to the extreme and is exactly the kind of thing that will immediately push away new users.

Summary
Windows pushed the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.176 update to Dev and Beta windows insider users today. The update contained a bug which caused most if not all users PC's to become unusable as it removed the taskbar and most OS programs.

This is intresting, As windows 11 (As with most versions of windows) comes with auto OS updates so most people wouldn't think to check if an update was installed. There is a way to fix the issue HERE. However you might not be able to update if a patch is rolled out as most OS programs do not work. (Win+R, Win+I) There are a few programs that can run with shortcuts like the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen as well as Task manager (Crtl+Shift+Esc.) Let's hope that microsoft can fix the issue via Windows update and users won't have to manualy reinstall windows.

Most countries I've visited are pretty much what you see is what you pay for a consumer transaction. The USA is the only obvious exception to that.
 
What you see is what you pay in: UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Korea, Hong Kong (pre-'97), Turkey. Have visited more countries than that, but without a need to do a local transaction I don't have 1st hand experience.
 
I'm not sure about Japan, as it was a long time ago. They can list with and without tax rates on some products, but I think that is more informational. Street pricing is what you see shown. No sticker shock at payment that I recall.
 
 
Note I was keen to say consumer above. In the UK, sellers dealing business to business will typically list without tax as it is not due at that point. Another possible exemption is if you're temporarily visiting another country not in the same tax jurisdiction as your own, you may be able to re-claim the tax locally on certain goods. This is a pretty niche area as you are in essence treated as an exporter, hence the local tax was not due.
