  1. Recently set up a streaming PC with a capture card. I know I can duplicate a display, but I started running into some issues with audio not showing up and I would like to try using a splitter instead. My main display is a Samsung Odyssey G7 that runs 1440p/240hz and I would like a splitter that could do 1440p with at least 120hz. Anyone know of any good splitters that can do that? Most of the splitters I'm seeing are only doing 60hz and I'd like to go more than that if possible. P.S. My capture card only takes HDMI so I'm going to run one of the splits through a DP->HDMI converter, I'm not really concerned about framerate there. I just want to make sure I'm getting a good experience on my main monitor and I'm worried about a loss of framerates at the display end when going through the splitter. I'd like to mitigate that as much as possible. Any insight or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
  2. Ah. Thanks. Don't know how I missed that.
  3. So does anybody know if there's a performance boost with DP -> HDMI over regular HDMI? Or is it pointless for me to swap cables?
  4. As an owner of 2 2080's, I can confirm it does not have HDMI 2.1 outputs, otherwise I would be using them. I also know HDMI 2.1 is faster than DP, but I don't have a HDMI 2.1 capable display (or graphics card for that matter), so that's out of the question. I also know DP 1.4 has noticeably better performance than HDMI 2.0. I'm well aware of the benefits of both output methods. What I'm curious about is if I can use a DP to HDMI cable/adapter and get the same performance as a straight DP input or will transferring output data from DP to HDMI output at the same performance as a standard HDMI 2.0 output since that end is what will be plugged into my TV.
  5. I can find cables on Amazon for like $20 so I'm not too concerned about the price. but if anyone has any recommendations for high quality DP -> HDMI cables that can output at a stable/decent 4k resolution, I'll take 'em.
  6. Right, so I'm looking into maybe getting a display port cable, but I don't have a monitor. I've just got a Samsung smart TV and I'm not interested in upgrading to a monitor at this time. I'm running my PC with a RTX 2080 with HDMI. I know DP cables have better performance than HDMI and I was thinking about switching to a DP->HDMI cable to see if I can get better performance, but I don't want to spend the money on a new cable if it's not going to have any benefit. Basically my question is: Is it worth it to get a DP to HDMI cable or just stick with HDMI? P.S. Probably a dumb question, but I've got NVLink with 2 GPUs, does SLI have any performance impact on DP output?
  7. I mean, it looks like a cool effect, even if it's by accident. It kinda looks like there's two colors in the fan at once. However I would like to return it to normal if possible so it's easier to coordinate with the rest of my case lighting.
  8. Right. So I'm having a strange problem with the RGB lit fans in my case. Story time: I just got a new Phanteks Enthoo Pro M SE PC case today and got everything transferred from my old case and hooked up. Everything looked great. I hooked up the RGB fans in the front and tried out the different setting using the controller button on the front of the case. Again, everything looked great, though I would have preferred to be able to control the lighting with my motherboard like the rest of the lighting in my case, so I tried hooking up the RGB cords to the LED C2 pins on my Aorus Pro Wifi motherboard and launched into RGB Fusion. After trying to play around with the settings and calibrating the lights with varied effects (I could change the color of the fan lights but it wouldn't correspond to what the app was trying to do) I tried to unplug the fan LEDs and discovered that I had messed up the lighting. Turning the LEDs off from the case controller button would change the lights to red instead of turning them off, and instead of the 10 colors that were supposed to show up I'd get a mix of greens, yellows and purples. Unplugging the lights wouldn't reset them and unplugging the power would also do nothing. I know it's my fault for trying to experiment with the RGB lighting in a way it wasn't meant to(especially since I knew beforehand the MoBo probably wasn't compatible) but I'm hoping there's some way I can reset the lights. Does anyone know if Phanteks has a way to reset/recalibrate their case lights and/or fan lights? P.S. the pic attached is the light that's supposed to be set to blue (I think...)
