  1. Thanks so much for coming here, I am desperate. My mic is NOT MUTED. I have muted it and unmuted it an insane amount of times. NOTHING WORKS. So my buddy tested this mic and it worked. He shipped it to me and I can't get it to work now. The computer senses the microphone as an input and an output device. It senses the prerecorded sounds sent to the pc when buttons are clicked. It senses no spoken sound (I have full on screamed/yelled into the mic and absolutely nothing is sensed. The mic's volume is not turned down. I have tried every pattern, every mode that is possible. I have removed the device from Windows and I have reinstalled it several times. Almost every YouTube video has been completely unhelpful to me. As of today, I believe this is a hardware issue that may have occurred during shipping. I plan on taking the mic apart and seeing if there are any visible internal issues. Someone please please help me diagnose this issue and stop me before I make a decision I will regret when taking this thing apart. Far fetched ideas are better than no ideas. Thanks for reading! My bad mic is currently the only thing holding back my stream quality. This is super super important to me. I may not have many viewers, but I care what they see! Edit: This is a standard Blue Yeti Microphone.
  2. https://www.amazon.com/ROG-Maximus-XI-Extreme-Motherboard/dp/B07JVGGXNL So of all upgrades to make, it would be the best to save and get this motherboard? It would let me have the capability to upgrade to an i9 9900k or some higher tier processor in the future as well. What aspects of usage would it improve most? Thank you so much for your time. And so basically, my motherboard is bottlenecking my entire build?
  3. Thank you, okay. So what should I do about my VRM being throttled? I am super new to technical things, but I am really interested. Thanks for your patience.
  4. So it would be smarter to invest in a better cooling system? Okay. For RAM, I should just get 2666 Mhz then even though I will probably replace it with 2x16 gb since i hope to upgrade to 64gb sometime? Also, what do you know about combining different types of RAM?
  5. I am a streamer on Twitch, and I stream primarily Fortnite, just to give readers a perspective of what I do on my system. (I stream and play on one system, no streaming PC) Stream linked at the end for an idea of my quality and if you want to talk to me live, I would be delighted! I stream at 720p and at 60fps I have also heard that using the exact same RAM is important because it can be very finicky when using 2+ ram sticks with any variations. Is this true? My system supports 64gb RAM, and since it is a powerful computer by today's standards, I am going to be using this system for a very long time. Should I go immediately to 2x16gb of ram as my upgrade? This is where I decide what I need to fit my streaming needs, any editing needs I may have, gaming needs, and any needs that I will have in the future. So is the higher frequency ram worth it for me. (Yes, I have watched the Linus Tech Tip video on RAM speed, and it was fantastic as his videos always are, but I am looking for further, more personalized insight. I take it from his video that I would want to purchase a maximum of 3200 MHz, even though my motherboard supports 4000 Mhz?) Also, should I overclock my CPU to 5 Ghz? (I have liquid cooling.) Would this hurt my CPU in any way even with adequate cooling, and would it make a big enough difference in performance to sacrifice any of my CPU's lifetime? Am I looking to upgrade the wrong things all together? This is my first performance setup, and I am looking to further my technical knowledge! Thanks for checking out my topic! NOTE: I know not all parts of my system listed are necessary to know, I list them anyways to give a full perspective on my situation.
