  1. Windows 10 home 64bit AMD Ryzen 7 1700x 32GB RAM Gigabyte AX370-gaming 3 Gigabyte 2060 super BIOS ver F25 American megatrends So normally how this problem goes is. I'm using my computer. Playing a game (ac Valhalla) or watching YouTube. ( It happened twice in a row while playing a game just now) my computer will kind of freeze. Controler using ds4windows wont work neither will the keyboard/mouse. Game still plays though. Can go to desktop via alt-tab, but wallpaper engine isn't popping back up. I can open task manager but it's laggy. C I can sometimes open file explorer but even if it opens it's not very usable. Eventually nothing will open. I have to hard shutdown using the button on my case. It either takes to long to reset in software or it won't. Then after i turn it back on and log in. My taskbar is flashing and nothing will load except task manager but it's really laggy. But I can reset in software this time. I have been fixing this problem by resetting and booting into safe mode and doing nothing but resetting again after that. Then windows loads and works fine. Sometimes after a windows login the task at will flash for 10sec then stop and boot up normally. This keeps happening so it's about time I fix it. I thought it was Nvidia broadcast for a bit because I uninstalled it and it stopped the issue but it came back, so it probably didn't stop it. Apparently the flashing taskbar is a windows update issue but this seems a bit crazier than that. Thanks for any help! And let me know if you need any info.
  2. Ill look into that and check back. thanks a bunch! I feel like that is most likely the issue.
  3. people just don't read posts anymore -.- I do not have an M.2 Installed on to my motherboard. I have already looked at that page anyway. My bad if I just misunderstood something on that page. Regardless, you're a prick
  4. UPDATE: I have been running with the studio drivers since Sept 10th. everything has been MUCH better. Except when I have a could small apps running in the background and then I have maybe 5 or more chrome tabs open each with an alarm. Sometimes I will wake up and chrome has crashed as well as wallpaper engine. Similar to before but this has only happened when I do exactly what I just said. It doesn't happen when I shut down wallpaper engine. So that could be the issue? Today i have switched back to Game Ready since there was an update on 10/1/19. Going to see how that goes. Will update again for people who are interested or have the same issue.
  5. Hello, basically I finally got to getting my Diskdrive to work. Then figured out the real issue. The two ASATA ports that I have are not working. Disk Drive was plugged into one of them and when I swapped SATA cords with the Drisk Drive and one of my SSDs the Disk Drive worked, but and the SSD didn't show up because it was not plugged into the ASATA port. I do not have an M.2 Drive so they should be working? Let me know if you want any other info. Thank you!
  6. Sounds good. Was gonna to a Clean reinstall with DDU, but wanted to see if I could do other options first. Im gonna do that. Then Im just installing an older version. i have a 1050ti so I really do not need the newest drivers. my old driver worked fine, ha, so now i wish i did not update. Ha. If that doesnt work for some reason. ill to the bios update if it needs one and see from there. Thanks!
  7. yeah, i figured. already updated windows. Ill update bios and see. Update on the results. Thx
  8. Windows 10 64-bit AMD Ryzen 7 1700X 16GB of RAM Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 3-CF NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA) BIOS Version: american Megatrends F25 1/16/19 I updated my game-ready drivers. I can not remember the old driver I updated from. It was in the 300's. But I updated to the current drivers 436.15. Once I updated that. Wallpaper Engine is crashing (basically a game). Multiple games are crashing. I could not open more than 4 tabs in chrome without the pages failing to load or chrome crashing if I opened too many 10+. I used to be able to open hundreds with no issue. Also, some games seem to be running worse than before, but that could be in my head. I updated Windows to the latest version and that did not help. I reinstalled my Game-Ready drivers using Geforce Experience and all seem to be better. AKA no crashes and I could open many times in chrome (I did not try to open more than 10). But the next day I opened a game and it looked glitched out, then wallpaper engine crashed and I got a windows message saying my Nvidia drivers crashed and windows was running there own drivers had to reset my pc because it didn't really work. Now I am typing this. Before I reinstalled my Nvidia drivers and before and after I updated windows I was getting errors. when wallpaper engine crashed it said my graphic drivers could not run DirectX10. In Minecraft, I would get error messages in the in-game chat saying "OpenGL error: 1281 (invalid value)" could be unrelated and it only happened when I CTRL+ATL+DELed out of the game and I say the message when I went back it. Most likely unrelated. I got the error message one saying "NVDisplay.container.exe - application error. The instruction at 0x00007ffa06648439 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. the memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program" Also don't know if this is related, but I can not open my command prompt, normally and as administrator.
  9. Yeah I have, but I do not think I did it correctly. But I have put in my friends ram. And it seems to be good now. But I'm not holding my breath. Also I made a new post for this. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1053785-pc-getting-lots-of-bsod-strange-ftpm-screen-on-boot-possibly-new-ram-or-faulty-drivers-help/
  10. I had some issues and they were possibly resolved on another post, but a couple days later I have more issues. So I posted them on my previous post, but no one has replied so I'm posting again since it could be a separate issue from the first. Here is a link to the first post with all the details about my problem https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1052663-new-mob-ram-cpu-computer-hard-freezes-and-other-things-help/ Let me know if you want me to post any more info like dump files or something. Thank you.
  11. Okay another couple crashes have happened. And these are bsods where it will sit there untill I reset and when it reboots it has been going straight threw as normal. Also the reltek audio and Nvidia audio drivers apparently automatically reinstall and the crash happens without them anyway. Here are all the different BSODs I have gotten. IRQL not less or equal Critical process died Process has locked pages Pool coruption in file area Memory managment Pagefault in nonpaged area After the last one on the list, which happened on a boot. I reset again and this time I got the fTPM screen again What I have gathered from googling all of these is that it has to do with either drivers or memory, and maybe gpu or maybe Mobo. I'm going to bed. Thankfully I can still work on my project as of now and save constantly. Plus I keep backing it up on an external drive just in case I have to use a friends PC. Sorry about all the posts but I want to put as much helpfull info as possible.
  12. Okay so I went and uninstalled realtek audio drivers and NVIDIA HD audio drivers Because I don't need them and I feel like that was the driver causing problems. The reltek one. I reset my PC for it to take effect and i let it boot normally and it did. No fTPM screen. That is good. But even if it doesn't crash soon (I feel like it will) I'ma keep Checking here for your advice. Because I need to fix this.
  13. Update. BSOD again. "process has locked pages" This has to be a bad driver. Also motherboard bios is up to date. it's gigabyte and the version is F25. I'm able to get into windows by holding f8 (pretty sure it's safe boot, but nothing seems to be different)
  14. Update. Computer crashed shortly after me being able to get back on. The bsod was "IRQL not less or equal too" the fTPM screen came back but I figured out how to get into bios. But when I exited bios it crashed again BSOD said "critical process died". Got the fTPM screen again, went into BIOS again and was able to get back into windows this time instead of crashing, but I know it will crash again shorty I am sure. I wonder if it is my Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 1st gen audio driver. Also more info. I had a Windows update this morning.
  15. Update again. After looking around to bios and found nothing to do there i exited and windows booted normally. But I am still looking for help to this issue. Thank you. It's not a semi semi emergency because it could happen again.
