This is my first post, so could somebody let me know if there is something glaringly wrong with my post format?
I am looking for a good laptop that is around 600 USD since my current laptop is dying due to fan problems, and since it is too old to be worth the money and time required to repair it. I would like a 15.6 inch laptop that is stable without BSOD's and Freezes, overheating, or crashes. I would like something that is thin enough to be portable, but I am not worried about the weight.I would like at least an i5, and definitely want a GPU. To further complicate things, my father, who will actually be buying the laptop has brand loyalty to HP. Also, edit 2, I forgot to mention that I would like something with around a 6-7 year life after I buy it, and I really would like this hypothetical perfect laptop to have a good keyboard with something like tactile feedback.
Edit 3, I would really like something with lots of I/O, since my main use case is having my laptop closed next to my desk, hooked up to my monitor.
Edit 4, I would like something with good upgradeability.
Sorry for all the edits, I just keep remembering things I forgot to add
