  1. I built a new PC with the 5600x, the above mentioned motherboard, 32gb of G.Skill Ripjaw at 4000mhz (XMP disabled during troubleshooting, so just running at default speed), and 2 NVME SSDs, ADATA SX8100 for boot and S40G for storage (omitting other components such as PSU and GPU as they may not be relevant). Naturally, I placed my boot drive into the CPU M.2 slot while the storage into the slot at the back of the motherboard. The issue reared its head when the PC failed to detect the boot drive I intended to install the OS on during the Windows installation process, but the always showed up as detected in the BIOS. After getting Windows 10 installed, the PC would occasionally fail to boot and display text requesting for a bootable device. The issue was especially prevalent when the PC soft rebooted upon updates. Besides the issues during boot up, some aspects of the Windows would be dysfunctional or not present in the OS, most notably Bluetooth and front panel USB. Those issues are somehow linked to the CPU M.2 slot as I will explain later. For Bluetooth (BT, rip in peace in the Frontier), the connections to my device, an XBOX Series X controller mostly, would be dropped at random intervals, or Windows would not detect BT functionality whatsoever, and I tried reinstalling network drivers to no avail. Similar issues were present for the front panel USB, and they are all USB 3.0. After several re-installations of OS, flashing the BIOS, and even considering RMA my mobo, I finally decided to just swap to the M.2 slot at the back of the mobo for my boot drive, and almost all the problems were resolved. Boot up never failed to detect my boot drive, Bluetooth and F_Panel USB are present and did not drop connections. At first I thought it was a bad connection to the CPU M.2 slot that caused the trouble, as the heat sink, with the M.2 screws on it, made so that the SSD pins not fully inserted into the M.2 slot. But after taking the heat sink out, the issues were still present, if not slightly alleviated. For a person with limited knowledge with regards to the inner workings of the computer, my wild theory for the boot drive woes is that the M.2 slot connected directly to the CPU is not for PCIe gen 3 NVME drive but gen 4 instead. I do not know any other explanations. Finally, even though the issues are no longer in a "this is unusable piece of s___" manner, I still want my boot drive to be back in the CPU M.2 slot, as my S40G already came with an heat sink while the mobo M.2 heat sink is still on the SX8100, so I would love to see a solution to the problem, be it downgrading the M.2 slot to gen 3 or whatever, the help will be much appreciated. Thanks for reading! I can provide more info should it be needed.
  2. I haven't posted on the forum for a while and isn't a regular forum poster before then. I guess I will be more cautious next time when posting things like this. How do I delete the post?
  3. Hi guys, So I found out this headphone company called LSTN that not only manufactures and sells headphones, but also helps those who are unable to hear around the world. (at least that's what their, the founders', goal) As a student, there is limited budget for me on everything. Buying one of these headphone may cost me quite a few days worth of food money. This is a video from their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTBTkldU6M4 Each pair of headphones costs $150 according to its official site. You can go search LSTN and you will find it. I wish some of you people in this community are awsome enough to buy these headphones and help out the people around the world, but at the same time, let us know how are these headphone in terms of sound quality. Each pair of headphones costs $150. Cheers guys P.S. how to post videos from other site directly and not a URL link? Thanks!
