I got a cat because they're allegedly low maintenance compared to dogs. They don't need walks. They need less attention. They don't need to be let outside to potty. And they're cute.
I was deceived. The contents of my trash can are constantly ending up on the floor, she sits in my sink getting fur all over the dishes, she meows at me and/or beats on my door all day because she's bored, and she knocks literally everything off my counters.

Does she do gravity checks when she’s not being paid attention to? Cats have certain similarities to babies that never grow up.
Yes all the time! Little brat lol. She also learned how to avoid Scat Mats so they're basically useless.

Gremlin is an entirely accurate term for my little doom floof.

Yep. She's something special, but I love her all the same. She sits behind me when I'm in my office, and occasionally she'll move to use me as headrest. It's cute.

So a smart cat. For cats. A smart but really food motivated cat can be trainable. Mine unfortunately is not food motivated. She also has no interest in laser pointers. When one is attempted she looks at the pointer rather than the dot with a sort of “really?!” Expression. She likes string though.
