  1. i was just poking around in my bios a bit ago before making any changes, and mine won't let me set 1.350v for some reason, but it will let me set 1.344, would that work?
  2. yeah, when i was building my pc i really wanted to go for a 3000mhz 16gb kit (since my MB only has 2 slots) but it was out of my budget, so i had to settle for what i could afford and for what was in stock ? hopefully soon though i can get a kit, but idk what i'd do with my old one lmao
  3. i'm using a 2x4gb 2666mhz crucial ballistix sport kit and wanna overclock to 3000-3200mhz, but have never oc'd ram. what would be an appropriate voltage? other pc specs: (if they matter) ryzen 5 1600 (default clock) asrock b450m- hdv r4.0 seasonic s121i 500w rx 570 4gb
  4. ok! i was thinking that, but other people here said it'd be ok i'm gonna go the experience of ryzen users though
  5. yeah that's what i was thinking, plus i'm coming from a literal garbagetown laptop with a slow as molasses 5400rpm hdd (don't even let me get into my current pc it's vomit inducing)
  6. i just chose that cause it was highly rated and a good price ? have any to recommend? all i need is 240gb
  7. ok so! taking the advice i've been given here, i've compiled a new parts list on pcpartpicker https://pcpartpicker.com/user/vrochibeats/saved/hJNykL the ryzen 1600 for some reason doesn't have an amazon price on ppp, but i can get it with prime for only $110 (also the speakers/monitor are things i need, since i'm upgrading from a laptop and the speakers i have now suck)
  8. i'm on a tight budget with my new pc, and hopefully i'm not cutting too many corners i'm only going for 8gbs of ram (2x4gb), clocked at 2666mhz is that going to be enough for my ryzen 1600? i know ryzen is super memory hungry, and i don't wanna be bottlenecking anything please lmk! thanks!
  9. i would rather shoot for a 2600 or 9400f but that nudges my build just out of my budget i don't really need it to be the best of the best honestly though, cause i'm coming from a laptop with a 1.9ghz dual core and intel hd 4000 (can't even run minecraft)
  10. i'm gonna be building a new pc soon and was going to pick up an i3-8100 with a asrock h310m-itx but in further looking i've seen the 9100f which seems like a much more viable option (i don't need integrated graphics) my only problems are that pcpartpicker says the motherboard will need a bios update, but i can't find anything else saying that's so, and ppp also says the cpu won't come with a stock cooler, which i don't think is true. if anyone could clear things up for me that'd be amazing thanks!
  11. i'm on android Q (beta 3) and for some reason starting yesterday i can't change any of my notification settings for messages. i've tried checking for updates and restarting my phone but that did nothing. if someone could please help me out that'd be very appreciated
  12. it's an old dell inspiron (3721) and the drive is easily removable by just taking off a few screws on the bottom
  13. ok so, i'm planning on building a midranged pc once i have the money and i'm upgrading from a total shit laptop but i still want the majority of my data (such as documents, photos, music, programs, etc) what would be the best way to go about getting my data over? i've looked into thinks like laplink but it seems iffy since my internet is really shitty (3mbs down, 2 mbs up) one idea i have is just removing the hard drive from my laptop and putting it in my pc and then just extracting my data that way, but programs will probably need to be reinstalled. but i wanted to know, is there any way i could do it better? lmk! cause i wanna be sure i'm going into this fully prepared
