  1. Did some testing, and for the CPU I peaked on 80 degrees / 112 W. The GPU peaked at 71 degrees (85 at 'Hot Spot) with 181 W. Thermal wise, I think it would be fine thermal wise, and PSU depends on wether or not the 3060 ti goes way over the power usage that are listed in the specifications. I might look into a new case, I wouldnt mind a better one tbh. It has been anoyying me for a bit, that it gets quite hot very easily resulting in undervolting my CPU, adjusting my fan speed all around to make sure it actually doesn't get dangerous. It's quite loud haha
  2. Thanks for the response, ill check it out ^^ and yea I will see wether the psu/case are problematic or not before replacing
  3. I already undervolted my cpu, not sure what the difference in W is but solved my thermal problems going from 90 to 76 C without performance loss ^^ My 2060 definatly uses more W then recommended by nvidia though. Around 180 peaks. I should probably check the total powerconsumption somehow.
  4. Thanks for the awnser, yea I've fiddled a bit with the airflow/fan speed/voltage way back when my gpu went up to 83 C and the cpu sat at 90 C. They now cap at about 68 C for the gpu and 75 for the cpu. The case isn't great :P Though I think the psu with the 3060ti should be fine, according to a psu calculator but will check out what the 5800x is using atm.
  5. Budget (including currency): €1000 Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games (Various games, like the new Battlefield/CoD/Dying Light), 3D design & Rendering with AutoDesk software (Revit/3DS Max) and Adobe (Premiere/After Effects) for video editing, graphics/motion design & Photoshop. Other details: Currently I am using the MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus 6G OC with the Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, Gigabyte Aorus X570 ELITE MOBO, 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM, Corsair RM550x PSU and a NZXT H500 case. I'm playing on a 2560x1440p 144 Hz monitor (LG UltraGear 27GL850) and would like to upgrade my GPU. I'm not quite satisfied with the performance I get on 1440p, though I am not sure which GPU would be the best upgrade for me. I've looked at a few cards and can't really figure out what makes which card better/what specs to look at. For the 3060's below, there's more VRAM but less cores or the other way around. Then the 3070 would, probably be better then both 3060's (because more cores?) but would the extra investment be worth it, or would the performance gain with either of the 3060's be more then enough. The 3070 is about €350 more then the 3060's at the moment. MSI GeForce RTX 3060 GAMING X 12G MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming Z TRIO 8G MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ti VENTUS 3X 8G OC Hope someone can help me out ^^
  6. https://www.megekko.nl/product/4186/1019278/PC-Voedingen-PSU-/be-quiet-Pure-Power-11-400W-CM-PSU-PC-voeding Will go for that one then, quite high rated for a decent price.
  7. Thank you, stopped the fan at start up and there was no sound. Definatly the fan, if fan bearing is indeed that bad as you described i'll definatly return it. Maybe look at 400/500 ones aswell then.
  8. Well regardless of how much watt I need, it's more about the one I currently have and wether I should keep it/ get a new one/ get another one. Just get another one is not really an option if it's not broken, if it is broken it would be fixed by getting a new one. If it's the PSU, and it's nothing out of the ordinary for this specific one then i'm not gonna bother sending it back for a bit of sound.
  9. https://outervision.com/b/wcI5NW & this post on the forums show 450+ with 550 W requirement if you OC.
  10. He helped with the build configuration aswell
  11. 400/500 W isn't enough, 500 is atleast cutting it close. Currently running GTX 2060/ i5-9600k/ 32gb ddr 3000 mhz ram/ samsung 970 & 860 ssd/ msi z 390 mobo. It does sound very simular to an HDD, problem is I dont have an HDD so theres litteraly no way its coming from that XD I did unplug the gpu, and very sure it's coming from the PSU.
  12. 61 euro https://www.megekko.nl/product/4186/968690/PC-Voedingen-PSU-/Gigabyte-GP-B700H-700W-PSU-PC-voeding Might be the PSU, not sure.
  13. Yea got it last friday, its a Gigabyte GP-B700H 700W PSU
  14. right ^^ Gigabyte GP-B700H 700W PSU
  15. Hey everyone, I recently build a new system and the one thing that has been annoying me is the sound the PSU makes, not the sound itself but not knowing wether or not it's a sound that's completely normal or something I should go back to the store with. The sound is always going, and definatly coming from the PSU as the sound will be there without having the GPU connected, regardless of the PC performance the sound is the same, it's coming from the PSU/GPU area hence I also checked without the GPU plugged in. PC is working fine, I just don't know the sound and if it's something that shouldn't be there it's better to return it. I recorded the sound with the fans making the most noice, if you listen closely you can hear the PSU sound i'm referring to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7YB0003VXs&feature=youtu.be I'd describe it as slurpy/ grindy? Not sure. Gigabyte GP-B700H 700W PSU is what I'm using. Thanks!
  16. Many errors, running with 1 stick now to see what it shows then
  17. Ye started that a bit ago
  18. After reinstalling windows it gave memory management bsod
  19. Yeah doing that now, almost done but idk should i do more? I d rather do all i can now, before installing stuff again
  20. Hey all Yesterday I built my new PC, and finalized everything today. - msi geforce rtx 2060 ventus - intel i5 9600k - msi z 390 pro - 32 gb ddr4 3 ghz ram (corsair) - gigabyte 700W psu - samsung 970 m2 ssd Booted from premade usb with the most recent bios version, internet driver and windows creation tool files. Flashed bios, installed windows, installes internet driver and thEn other drivers. Afterwards I did all the windows updates, installed some other programs (norton, i know/discord/uplay/razer/logitech software) and played some games. After about 12 hours I got a blue screen, errorcode (symefasi64.sys) according to google caused by norton (yep) so i deleted norton restarted the pc and done i thought. Back into the game and another blue screen this time:(SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) (SYMEFASI64.SYS) Related to drivers from what i could find but all drivers were up to date. I check the gamefiles, all good, start the game and this time i cant even get into the game. The game crashes followed by bsud, new error (memory-management) so at this point i dont know anymore. Things that i think can be related: - psu is making a weird noise, maybe its not working propperly causing differemt errors. Will swap the psu to see if it helps as the sound is anoyying. - deleting norton corrupted something and caused a domino effect? After hours of trial and error i encountered more and more problems. Couldnt start the game at all, couldnt update or reinstall nvidia drivers. Will reinstall windows, change the psu but not sure what else i can do and if that will even help. U guys have any ideas? The psu makes a sound like its slurping a drink, maybe a bit like an old hdd writing the disk.
  21. appreciate the tip, but im very nvidia fanboy XD cant help it, like the software/ experience
  22. '''The budget I have about 1500 euro's purchasing the parts in the Netherlands,''' has always been in the OP though
