  1. That is quite a good system you got there. Can eliminate the hardware aspect and now it might be some software running on the background, Check the startup list and also monitor what programs are taking up more resources and deal with them. It could also be windows update running in the background downloading the upcoming update or some pending updates.
  2. Try going back to a previous stable version of the driver and check if you run into the same issue. You can also look up and check if the Game you are running have previously shown these behavior among st other users and if there are possible solutions for the same.
  3. Check on the BIOS/UEFI If your port and boot device order is right, Also check if they are getting reset after each reboot. If it is getting reset then you will have to find out why so, may be CMOS or something else causing the order to change?
  4. Could be due to multiple issues. 1. Not enough RAM 2. CPU 3. Disk Usage at 100% (Hard disk or just windows services) 4. All of these 5. Resource hogging softwares or malware running on the background.
  5. It might be that your display driver needs an update. Install the latest drivers for your gpu and try again.

  8. So, This happened quite some time ago. When i installed Linux Mint onto a laptop which had BIOS, (Yes, quite old system.) And since then. I don't have access to the system BIOS. All i can do is select boot device and it boots into the os. The bios part essentially won't show up. For my understanding it is due to the installation going the UEFI way and messing something up, I tried to get it working by taking the hard drive out to see if there is something and it does not work that way. So Any way to get this thing fixed up? It's a lenovo g580 with an intel pentium dual core processor. What went wrong. and What can be done to get it back how it was. . These are the screens i have access to now. *I did successfully re-flash the bios via a bios file via usb. But still getting the same thing. Now the Linux installation have also gone haywire by booting into Initramfs adding more salt to the injury. and i want to get rid of this whole linux sh*t and install back windows again with normal accessible BIOS.
  9. Change all your passwords, for the game, for your email, for you system. And don't tell any one. This just seems like someone messing with you. And yes the Malware bytes scan and update your os as well. Remove unwanted software's if you have them installed, Go through the list of installed programs and just uninstall what ever you don't feel is necessary for the functioning of your system. Get a password manager for changing the passwords and to keep them safe.
  10. The media creation tool does downloads the latest updates and drivers required by your system if those are available before preparing the medium to upgrade your system. W10 Does contains a fairly large amount of basic drivers for devices and will also tend to download latest versions through windows update once installation is done. You can also try using something like driver booster or such to download the latest drivers for your hardware at once.
  11. I Did recently upgraded from 1803 to 1903 using the ISO file downloaded from MS. You can boot from the ISO and Use Upgrade option to install it. I did the upgrade option. Running it on a USB while inside windows will throw the error as you mentioned due to it being on a USB. You won't have to remove any thing if you boot from the usb and upgrade it that way. Or Try mounting the ISO on windows and upgrade it from within.
  12. Wait.what? Boot from your windows boot medium. Get to the place where it shows hard disks to format. Select your old windows drive - Hit format. Click on your SSD format it, prepare for installation and continue windows installation onto that one. It's as simple as that. Do remove that system reserved partition as well. Since new installation will create one automatically. This might be helpful as well. : P.S: You are reading wrong threads.

  17. The vision and focus is shifting. They are just Improving their stand over Linux with integrations such as this. Nothing will be able to touch them with their aggressive adaption to opensource and Linux technologies to cater needs of developers. They have already won the battle if there was one.
  18. The terminal can be tested out right now and is opensource, along with the terminal a new mono-type based font is also getting developed by Microsoft which is also, once again Open Source. And you know it is awesome when there is a video showcasing a terminal. 19. SSD's are not components which relies on age, you might have Run through its write cycles quite fast some how by using the SSD as a main drive to install and uninstall softwares and random read write operations. Just because its 1.5 Years old or 6 months old does not mean you can't slow it down or kill it within that time. Any how the blue arrows means compression is on.
  20. Those two blue arrows means your files and folders are compressed by windows. You can change that by going to Properties -> Advanced and unchecking "Compress content option" It is how ever a good option to have enabled though. Possibly the drive and windows is trying to save space and it seems like the SSD is running down its course and getting to its end game.
  21. Laspass offers shared folders, where you can store passwords and login info for sites into a folder and share it with trused contacts. There is this : https://www.lastpass.com/family-password-manager And Also
  22. System Freezing Intensifies. Chrome might not be the best course of action in this case, try something lighter like Edge Chrome or a lighter version of chrome with all unnecessary items turned off.
  23. Uninstall GChrome Install Edge Chrome Dev -Profit- And also run that AdwClearner and also a Spybot search and destroy free scan and Immunization. Bitdefender you have is very good too.
  24. It does seems like your CD is not Bootable. Just burning the ISO into a CD often was not enough to make it bootable. And you had to twinker some settings in Burning softwares like Nero and what not back then. If you want to get it bootable in a USB then Rufus can make if bootable for you, without much cimplications. Or WinToBootic can also help with that.
  25. They don't have the wide range of transitions like premier or vegas. They out of the box comes with quite a few basic transistions which will be suitable for most use cases. Both of them how ever does have the ability to create custom ones to an extend and transition packs and extras are all over the web to grab from as well in case the default ones does not seems to fullfill the what you are looking to achieve.
