  1. Can't go wrong with the R5 3600, it preform really well from what I've seen and the am4 platform is really good for future upgrades if you ever need too.
  2. the vega is from my old 1600 build its good enough for him since he's coming from a 960 2gb, imo
  3. So by this Saturday I will have one of these two systems, one is intel and the other amd. This build is purely for gaming at 1080p 75hz - 144hz depending on the game, I have a R7 3700x build already that I use for productivity and other things that would benefit from the extra cores. This gaming build is for my younger brother who only ever plays games on my old laptop, normally I would go for a 2600 but he recently bought a 144hz monitor so I threw together a build thinking purely high fps and now I'm stuck between these two builds. He mainly plays Skyrim with lots of texture mods, minecraft, the witcher 3 and lots of f2p titles. The cpu cooler is over kill but I want it anyway as I might take it and give him my corsair h100x
  4. I have a Ryzen 5 1600, bought it as my fx 6300 died the day Ryzen 5 first came out ( seems fishy ) has been good to me ever since but it's about time I upgrade and grab a 3700x on a asus tuf b450m gaming plus and see what it can do
  5. Amazon uk? I have been looking at i5-9600K on there for the last 2 weeks straight the cheapest i've seen it is for £220 on amazon, though you can get a i5 9600kf for £199.98 of ebuyer (really good used plenty of times)
  6. What I'm getting at after reading all of your comments is just go for the R7 3700x, 3600 RAM and a new Motherboard x570 or x470 I'm guessing? Ok I can do that but what about my PSU is this any good? I checked the PSU list and I'm pretty sure its not really good
  7. That's not my only goal right now it takes awhile to render, the ssd upgrade is to get rid of those 2 random ssds i have already since they are only 120gb but yes increaasing those 1% low would be nice
  8. My RAM is rated for 2333 or w/e the base dd4 speed is I oc it 2800, it wouldn't go past this even with more voltage. Plan on doing the same with the 3000 kit and since its only £60 I thought it would be worth it but I guess not?
  9. Hi guys, So at the end of the month I plan on upgrading some parts of my pc and would like some help with choosing the parts. I already have a list of parts that will serve me well for my use case and should last me another 2 years no problem. My current use case for this pc is mainly gaming, productivity such as excel and databases, light content creation I.E I make short 5 minutes 1080p clips of the games I play with my friends ( Using adobe to render my videos ) and finally I have started getting in 3d modelling and 3d short animations ( mainly in Blender and Daz 3d ). Games I play are mostly Mobas and a few AAA games like borderlands 3, GTA V and DMC 5. The parts that I want to upgrade are listed below I’ve left out my GPU and monitor since I don’t see the need to upgrade them anytime soon as I’m getting over 144fps in my competitive games and 60fps to 90fps in those AAA games. Parts to upgrade: · AMD Ryzen 5 1600 · Crucial 16 GB Kit (8 GBx2) DDR4, 2400 MT/s, PC4-19200, CL17 (OC to 2800Mhz and CL16) · Corsair VS650 650W 80 PLUS · ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS · PC case – I have no idea what case this is I bought it off Ebay 6 years ago for my first build · 2x SSDs 120Gb (they are from Crucial, got them from work) · 2x WD Blue 1Tb HDD · 5x Corsair 120mm fans (not PWM) controlled with DEEPCOOL FH-10 Integrated Fan Hub The main purpose for this upgrade is to allow me to continue to do what I currently am doing but also increasing productivity times and increasing my 1% lows in games since I occasionally dip into low 30fps in AAA games and low 60s for some Mobas. Parts I think will serve me well: · AMD Ryzen 5 3600 · Noctua NH-D15 CHROMAX.BLACK (Over kill I know but I love the look and want to support the guys also may upgrade to a 8 core CPU if I get good and become serious with 3d creation) · Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 · Sabrent Rocket 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME · Fractal Design Define Mini C TG · Corsair ML120 ( 5 case fans that are PWM would like a quite system ) Any help is welcome, also for my budget it's set around £500 to £700 max willing to go over but I don't think I would need to.
  10. Thanks guys and I think I get the vrm stuff now and yeah I'll just wait for the new stuff to come out and be reviewed.
  11. Hey guy So I currently have a Ryzen 5 1600 none X and a b450 asus TUF gaming plus motherboard (upgraded from my b350 msi gaming plus). Now my question is I want to upgrade my cpu to whatever the new Ryzen 5 3000 chip when they are release but I'm worried that my current motherboard may not be suited for the new chips if I want to overclock, is my current motherboard good enough for overclocking those new chips as I've heard after buy the TUF board that they don't have good VRMs and all that (no idea how to tell if a board has good VRMs and mosfets). VRMs and mosfets I have no idea how to tell what makes them good even after researching them so if anyone could shed some light on whether or not my current setup will be any good and if not what motherboard to get. Price isn't really an issue as long as it isn't crazy ridiculous pricing and nether is form factor though I do prefer Micro-atx. Thanks in advance

  13. I'm asking what to upgrade a part from my motherboard and gpu, I would like lower thermals while having my case closed so I don't have to hear my gpu (sounds like a jet taking off when under load). I want to change the case, get new fans, monitor not sure if i need 144hz TN or 75 IPS (144hz IPS cost to much), My CPU doesn't seem to hold me back but getting a R7 2700 might be a good choice since its on sale but then I would need a new cooler etc. I'm piratically doing a new build it seems and I'm not sure what to upgrade with my first budget of £400 to £500. Basically I'm asking which part to upgrade first? (What would give me better thermals, performance and reduce noise) What would be themost logically choice to make? Reduce thermals by upgrading the case, case fans and cooler and then wait a bit longer to upgrade my CPU and monitor or the other way around?
  14. Hi guys, I could really use some help with my next upgrade for my PC. I recently got my motherboard and GPU so I don't want to change them for a 2 years. I'm currently using this PC as my main rig to game and edit, its hitting all my gaming needs with ease haven't had to turn down settings for 1080p so I'm guessing a 75hz monitor would be a good choice since the games I play mostly are games like DMC 5, Re2, Tomb raider and AC. The case is a budget case I bought from a local store years ago, air flow on it is bad to the point I have to the side panel with the window removed to keep the CPU (CPU oc to and GPU under 80c under heavy loads like blender and short 10 minute 4k videos scaled down to 1080p. My Ram was 2400mhz but oc to 2800mhz timings haven't changed. My budget should be around £400 but if necessary I can go to £500 but would like to keep it under £400, side note I intend to buy everything at the end of the month I am willing to save to save a little longer and spend more if that would give me the best performance and value. Thank you to anyone that tries to help me.
