You mention the in-game chat showing input. What does the Windows Sound Control Panel show?

How are you connecting all these headsets? I'm not familiar with all those models. Are you using USB or analog?

that's going to be noise floor. Wireless headsets especially bluetooth ones have a minimum volume before the mic activates on the headset itself, wired microphones don't need that circuit to save battery life. The in game signal will be coming from the input signal from windows which is read from the jack prior to the mute.

It's likely the front panel jack has more electronic noise in the signal and is showing signal at the jack even when there is nothing coming from the mic. A DAC can have less noise but you would have to spend more than it's probably worth just to clean up the mic signal.

Thank you! Needed info like this. Article definitely convinced me it isn't worth upgrading for maybe an increase of 10fps.

obviously zen 3 cpus are faster and mitigates the problems further.

There are such things as CPU frames. At 4k they become very important since most GPUs struggle to do 60fps. It does depend on the game.

In Assassins Creed Odyssey my CPU overclock alone is good for an extra 7 frames. This is not a big deal at 1080p but at 4k it is the difference between averaging 52fps to 59fps. Most frames end up over 60 in the game so vsync works a lot better.

Here is what it look like.

    For some fun.
My i7 8086k overclocked runs about the same as a 5600X but I have a 2080 ti. There is a good chance I could beat your score even though you have a more powerful GPU. If you had an 5600X I would have no chance.
For more fun do a 4k bench like Superposition.

Fell into some cash and forgot this drop was coming. Might look to snag a 5800X tomorrow at microcenter to pair with my 3080. Didn't realize B450 boards weren't going to work until Jan 2021 at the earliest, so looks like I am in the market for a new motherboard as well.

until benchmarks come out it's anyone's call, this being the last of the AM4 platform it's likely when you need the extra performance the 5000 series will be cheaper.

    "Hell, its about time"

    Well done gents.

I will emphasis the fact that the whole 48gbs vs 40gbs bandwidth 'issue' is entirely pointless as the the panel itself is 10bit, so the ability to accept 12bit input with 48gbs is kinda silly.

Also, if ur going to spend this much on a display, BUY A CALIBRATOR !, that way u dont need to worry about color inaccuracies between the gaming profile and other profiles of the DIsplay.

Ill also add that any1 who wants to give one of these a shot should understand that some minor changes in your habitual use will be 'ideal' to avoid 'noticeable' pixel degradation (burn-in).

For starters dont do what Linus did with his video editing software, that being, dont open it up fullscreen. Continued use liek this will cause the menu bars at the top to always be displayed in the exact same position , which will eventually cause burn in. Instead resize and position it urself, each time u open it, and every couple hours just move it slightly. Do this with all windows, such as internet browsers and other programs.
it sounds like a chore, but i assure u, it becomes second nature, i've been doing ti with my plasma for over 10 years, i dont even realize im doing it most the time.

There are other things u should do as well. Try not to have icons on ur desktop, if u need them, then use a program like 'Wallpaper engine' and make them semi transparent, and use an animated wallpaper and/or have a large library of wallpapers that change every few minutes. Then ofc also make sure ur taskbar has auto hide enabled.
You can also enabled a basic black screensaver as well.

Beyond that, just make sure u dont leave a game with a higher contrast static HUD/UI on the screen for 6+ hours every day. You can get away with a long gaming session of a single game, even one as vibrant and contrasty as fortnight, but dont do it all the time.
A game like COD:WWII can be played on a OLED for thousands of hours without issue, but try doing the same with a game like FIFA and ull end up with burn in.

@James  It would be interesting to see a video testing people at LTT with the CX 48" and other high frequency gaming monitors to see if they prefer the crystal clear 120hz motion of the OLED or the slower response but higher frequency of a 240hz+ gaming Monitor.
I'm of the opinion that a 120hz OLED will provide subjectively better moving image than that of a 240 monitor, even if the 240hz+ monitors 'technically' have the 'smoother' motion.

For those interested here is rtings.com review
    https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/48-cx-oled
Currently stands as the best 'monitor' they have tested.

It's slightly different than the base Embody in that it has a thicker seating surface, and some extra cooling features because gamers are all sweaty try-hards.  Or something like that.

Did the cooler come with a plastic peel sticker on the base? Did you remove that?

Sometimes there can be issues with mounting pressure.

You might also like to check your BIOS that the motherboard isn't pumping more volts into it than it needs to be. Saw this happen once. Very high idle temp.

70c is normal while gaming. as for the 55, my aio usually cools my cpu to that temp (yes i know i have a different cooler)
80c is pretty high but if your gaming is extremely taxing and resource consuming, i guess that it is an OK temp.
also remember, your cpu is overclocked. you need to take that in consideration as well.

And pulling the CMOS, as noted above, will reset any boot configurations currently in BIOS, NOT roll it back to a previous revision.  Pull CMOS, I would

CoolMarquis97 reacted to CPT_BEEMO in No signal after removing graphics card
Clearing CMOS will only reset all configurations back to default. It will not reset the Bios back to a different version.

If you are trying to get display with NO GPU installed, this is a normal condition, as the Ryzen platform does not come with on board graphics unless it is one of the APU processors with Vega Graphics. I presume you know this, however and that you have a GPU installed when the concern is present.

I would try a different PCI slot if you have one, see if that changes anything. Or you could also just reseat the GPU into the first slot too and see if it changes.

Agreed! No matter what people want to say about the influenced prices, Linus and Luke were the only team able to build a running system without cheating. I do wish their was a way to either guarantee no cheating or at least find a way for both teams to be able to have a running system. It sucks to go into the final episode knowing that one team is more than likely going to be disqualified. I guess that is what makes the show fun though.
