  1. Just to chime in, I have a Gtx 960 card(since 2016) and am think of upgrading. Advice?
  2. I mean I recently got a 860 EVO(so a bit biased here), but the average price difference is about $40-50(making the Crucial much cheaper).
  3. Hi, I'm about to start my Information Systems & Technology degree, and I'm wondering if my current laptop setup is sufficient. I currently have this laptop, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FLBJV7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Edit: By "upgrade" , I'm really meaning memory, RAM, graphics, not necessarily getting a brand new laptop.

Well, sorry for my earlier reply then. Different genres are good. I've been doing more Schmups/Bullet Hell games, versus FPS/Stealth games.

Edit: Nevermind, was irrelevant to the topic.
  6. There's a 80% off for Hitman GOTY Bundle(2016) series, which I got. Borderlands 2 is 75% off, and The Handsome Collection is 97% off. Yeah it's not as great as before, but Witcher 3(70% off) and Far Cry 5(67% off). You get the picture. Mostly what I got were smaller games, like Schmups(Binding of Isaac:Rebirth, Metal Slug 3)
  7. I believe it’s this. Sceptre E205W-1600 20" 75Hz Ultra Thin LED Monitor https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-E205W-1600-Monitor-Speakers-Metallic/dp/B00S8W8QMG
  8. I use Speccy to check for abnormal temperatures on my devices(CPU,GPU etc).
  9. I have a Nvidia GTX 960 for 3 years, and it can run most games fine. I’m just wondering is it a good idea to upgrade to something better(I have an I7-8700 CPU)
  10. Fortnite Minecraft Rocket League Stick Fight: The Game
  11. You can’t rule that out. Just use the Speccy program to be sure.
  12. Try downloading Speccy, and see if any components(GPU, RAM, etc) are running hotter than they should be. I've had Far Cry 5 freeze on me a few years ago, and that was because my mobo was running really hot, 95 degrees F. Do you have updated drivers for your graphics card? All I could think of off the top of my head. Edit: Looking at your previous posts, this doesn't look like a game issue per se, but a hardware issue.
  13. This happen about almost 2 years ago IIRC. Anyway, I had my front-panel connectors on my mobo, and for some reason I though "Hmm, what would happen if I put these in a different part on the mobo?" Long story short, I started playing Doom 2, and about 1 minute in I see some smoke coming from the inside of my case. I pause the game, and look inside, and then less than 30 seconds later, I see actual flames in my motherboard. I quickly yank my power cord out, and take out my front-panel connectors. Fortunately, nothing is really damaged, and I'm later able to play my games just fine.
  14. Laptop: Ubuntu Desktop: Windows 10 However, I don’t think with my laptop processor I’ll be running any games soon.
