  1. If this is true (as well as the reports about the TOTK piracy link mentiond above) screw both Nintendo and Yuzu as Yuzu should have known they were doing something that would raise the wrath of Nintendo to come after them and Nintendo because they come after people for modding their Switch through an exploit Nintendo left in the console on top of everything else they do. When UFD Tech got their video taken down by YT because Nintendo threw a massive tantrum I was flabbergasted and angry on their behalf. Imo Yuzu should have seen this coming IF they were helping with and encouraging piracy and releasing a TOTK optimised emulator version behind a paywall on top of rthe fact that TOTK was being leaked as well. Reverse engineering though shouldn't be illegal at all. Tbh I'm only annoyed because of the fact I can't get Citra anymore (though it looks like someone has already forked/mirrored it but you would need to check it for viruses). Looks like I should have gotten it when the eShop closed last year. I don't care about the Switch emulator as I have a Switch and can play the few Switch games I own and there should be a new console releasing soon as well so support will be good for many more years to come. But I have a lot of digital 3DS games which I could lose if my console dies and there will probably be no way to repair it in like 20 years.
  2. Well this is great. I get punished by buying a GPU (7800XT) when I wanted to (September) when Nvidias GPU options were just crap and they weren't doing anything to improve the encoding situation with regards to AV1 on Twitch and mutliple encode and transcode streams and the 4070 was more than £100 more expensive and came with no game. Now they improve everything, correct their greedy lineup and finally realise the economy they were introducing a 12GB $800 4070Ti and a $600 4070 into wouldn't give them very good sales. Greedy bastards.
  3. The easiest hassle free thing to do would buy a used CPU at this stage (like a 5600X as they are dirt cheap now) and try sell your old one to try and recoup the costs but obviously used can be hit or miss so to fix it you need an EPROM writer as Robhcii said or I'd just take it someone to see if it can be fixed.
  4. Yep. As a general rule only do a BIOS Flash if you know 100% your motherboard and CPU will work together (you need to check to make sure.) Sadly the newer board doesn't support BIOS Flashback (not sure about the older one as we don't know). As I was answering the post/question I looked it up.
  5. Hello. You did a BIOS update? with a Zen 1 CPU? On what board? What speed RAM are you using as this may also be a reason why your PC isn't posting. Which BIOS update was it? I need answers to all these questions. If it was the latest BIOS thats come out you may have made a costly mistake (and your board doesn't have a DEBUG LED either so its pure guess work as to what part of the boot process isnt working.) Also 500 series boards (that new board you bought) don't support Zen 1. In fact any BIOS that has come out since about Zen 2 I think (so X570 and B550) dont have support for Zen 1 only Zen+ and above. Then there are the newer BIOS updates to support Zen3 on X370, B350, X470 and B450 boards as well which may remove support for Zen 1 and Bristol Ridge (pre Ryzen) APUs. If you have another CPU test it out and see if it works on both boards. If it does there is your reason why it no longer POSTS. If you don't have a spare Ryzen CPU (you have a 1600 so you probably don't thinking about it) you might want to take it to a shop where they have a CPU you know will be compatible or where they can update your BIOS. Also did you lose power at all during the update since it shut off during the middle of it? Your XMP profile RAM may also be too fast (if the board you were using still does support Zen 1. My 2700X no longer posts with its XMP profile at 3200 speed (i need to set it to 2133) because support to enable these speeds was removed I think. Also heres a diagram that shows what CPUs AMD definitely 100% supports https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-zen-3-b550-x570-motherboard-compatible Support for Zen 3 on 300 and 400 series boards (and support for Zen 2 on 300 series boards) is an afterthought. It works 100% fine (I used it on my X470 taichi) but it removes support for older processors as I just said and I myself would not have done it if I didn't know exactly what I was doing and wasn't into this as a hobby.
  6. The streaming companies are becoming the one thing customers of cable TV and broadband companies hate. Cable TV and broadband companies.
  7. With how quick AMD responded to this issue (the responded the same day in fact, plus they've pulled the driver from beig downloaded) I'd expect this to get resolved fairly quickly and by then it will have been forgotten about. I also don't play CS2. And AntiLag+ was marketed more towards reducing Latency brought about by FSR3/AFMF anyway. Unless they are also saying that Regular AntiLag is also doing this. The worst part of this is the fact that HYPR-RX and Quality mode auto enables this though.
  8. But they are a big multi million dollar corporation now. They need PR management and people who know how to manage other people and who can lead. They need to make money. I know some people have been around from the start but I thought that this was becoming obvious particularly with merch store plugs and Floatplane plugs too. They aren't a Hardware Unboxed or a GN or Kitguru and they aren't a struggling corporation anymore (as Yvonne said). Their apology video stops things from getting worse. The only way they fix the situation and improve it is showing their audience that they've done so. Firing people who have done wrong things/wronged people, fixing processes so that the Billet Labs situation can never happen again, getting people who know mice to do mice reviews, cleaning up their data in reviews. Ian Cutress made a good point about GN and their investigative journalism though.
  9. Steve should have reached out for comment about the Billet Labs situation and nothing more In my opinion. But thats not a hard and fast rule and he doesn't have to do it.
  10. LMG has gotten so large that it unfortunately needs the PR management skills now Im afraid to say.
  11. Is the community at fault? If the communitys at fault then its on people to notice stuff better. If its on him then yeah its on him and hes just dunked on his own community/fans. He shouldn't have said that at all though. Just focus on entertainment and don't put LTT Labs in the spotlight until its ready imo.
  12. 100% unless LMG also work on weekends. I don't know if Billet Labs also work on weekends as well so they may not have anwered any emails. BUT theres the argument this is a special situation to a companies property going missing. Honestly think LTT should take the video about the block down down so that Billet can start again and get someone to review their product on a clean slate away from a crap video that didn't review it properly. Now that that LMG has confirmed to Billet Labs that the block was bought by a private individual the impact of LTTs fuck-up is lessened due to loss of IP and they should compensate Billet for the amount Billet are happy for them to pay. Sending them the block back is only going to waste time at this point as Billet Labs second response details.
  13. I am sorry but I cannot see the Closed Captions on this video as they are too blurred. (Nevermind I loaded it up on actual YT.com and the captions are fine and you can see them OK. Just the embed being of lower quality. My apologies.)
  14. Yeah think Linus should be sleeping on this definitely. His response was terrible and someone else needs to step in to present the eventual video about it.
  15. Yeah I'd appreciate a video with a plan to fix processes and check for innaccuracies from someone else on this other than Linus because he has exhausted his credibility at this point. I don't know if videos are watched before they put out but if they aren't then they need to be watched by the Writer of the video and the presenter of the video to proof the content for innaccuracies. Either Terren or someone who is seen to be credible on this situation (potentially Luke or Nick Light) with a plan to clean up corrections and mistakes in videos, a detailed timeline of how the Billet Labs watercooler was sold off. If Linus delegates that task thats fine. I just don't want him involved with it. He can focus on getting the Labs vision working and have reviews be outside of the purview of entertainment. My main problem with GNs response even though I agree with all of it was the delivery of it. But thats besides the point now. Doesn't matter what tone was used and how the message was delivered (even though its true it wasn't delivered in the way you would have liked) things just need to be improved.
