Sychic got a reaction from Somerandomtechyboi in Planning water cooling in the Meshlicious
It was launch and only one I could get my hands on (I had been using my computer for a few years without one and was struggling).
I know EK is a bit expensive but I like the aesthetic and from what I've seen, they're generally the most "trusted" water cooling brand.
As for the GPU, it doesn't get loud but I'm concerned about the clearance if I use the FLT80 res+pump combo. I could go with one of the pump+res+cpu block combos but I feel like if I'm going for watercooling, might as well do everything.

Sychic got a reaction from Doom2024 in Where is my RAM going?
There's a lot of background tasks which each take up a little bit of memory. Those small processes add up and can total to a lot.

Have you tried re-seating it? Just take it out and put it back in. The contact might not be good

You should be fine to slot it in but be warned that your windows may be deactivated because of new hardware

Sychic got a reaction from s0emand in Optimal coolant temperature for AIO
The coolant should be fine, it's just used to transfer heat to the radiator where it's released into the air

Sychic reacted to TheBean in What Ryzen to get??
the 1060 will bottleneck that.
get the 3600 for the best bang for buck. it has 6 cores / 12 threads.
it will be identical in gaming with the 1060 but multitasking/streaming or anything like that will be WAYYYYY faster on the 3600
edit: you do not need x570 mobo. b450 is good enough

Sychic reacted to boey in Looking for build advice. Thanks :)
-Motherboard is fine - 2400g won't stress it to its limits
-Better power supply is recommended(visit psu tier list to determine psu quality)
-high speed ram(3000mhz and higher) is almost a necessity with ryzen, especially the APUs
-no need for such a case, there are cheaper options with much better airflow

Go for a better PSU if you want it to last long.
Also, i've heard that your motherboard isn't the best so maybe look for a better mobo too.

You should be fine, but just because I don't know too much about PSUs, I'm just gonna tag @LukeSavenije

Sychic got a reaction from Mnky313 in CPU Upgrade concerns
3600 should work just fine... the 3600x is just overclocked a little and you can easily hit that with a 3600

Sychic reacted to Mnky313 in CPU Upgrade concerns
For that GPU I would swap out the board to a b450 one and get a r5 2600 for around $250 total (and maybe get some faster RAM or overclock your current RAM because Ryzen performance is noticeably better with faster RAM. If you need more CPU power a 3600x would do nicely. AM4 boards have a much better upgrade path than Intel.

It's really not, ever had anything that used a watch/flat battery? You just take it out wait like 2sec and put it in the same way you took it out.

Sychic reacted to Boinbo in planning to get an RTX 2060 next week but...
Both your CPU and GPU are more powerful than what he has, so of course even with a bottle neck you will get 120fps. @huhuhahaTi a g5400 will not be able to give you 120fps, even with a 2060. It would be smarter by getting a cheaper GPU (Vega 56 used) and getting a better CPU, (Ryzen 5 1600/ Ryzen 7 1700), of better yet, wait till ryzen 3000
