  1. i removed the optane drive via intel software then removed it in bios, windows made me go to an older restore point and the CPU is above expectations but the GPU and NVME are still far below on pc benchmark. the magician software is recognizing the drive correctly now.
  2. that is my boot drive, something else is causing the issue though, all of my components are running very low. i dont think the optane drive can make my GPU and CPU run so poorly. the optane is only running with my mechanical hard drive.
  3. i already updated them from the intel website. it is now making my 970 pro m.2 NVME show up as an unsupported SSD format in the magician software.
  4. I recently updated drivers using the MSi Dragon center after installing an optane drive. my CPU wont go over 50% utilization in XTU, If i try to drag a screen on my desktop it moves at about 1 fps and since i didn't download the drivers manually they aren't even on the MSI drivers page online. i tried to put my OC settings back in BIOS like they were before ( i was at 5ghz on all cores) and my benchmarks stayed the same eventhough XTU showed that it was running at 5ghz on all cores. While setting the core voltage at 1.37 it wouldn't go past 1.3 but setting it to auto allowed it to go to to 1.4. I don't know what could be causing this. performance is horrible what can i do besides a clean install of windows? nothing showed any types of throttling and temps never went above 60 degrees. i had everything set up the way it was and it was working fine for a week after installing drivers for the optane drive from the intel site but i saw i had a bios update available that was for the m.2 genie function. the only thing i have noticed that is different is that i hear a noise that sounds like a pencil scratching on a piece of paper when the CPU ramps up (not a mechanical HDD sound), i might have just not noticed this before since my fan no longer goes to 100% my currrent build is MSI z390 gaming plus intel 9700k 3200mhz ddr4 corsair samsung 970 pro m.2 500gb boot drive samsung 750 ssd 500gb 6TB toshiba 5900rpm steam drive on raid with 32 gb optande m.2
