  1. Thanks! I will! Make sure your's doesn't melt mate! They're still great cards
  2. You know what! By SOME MIRACULOUS COINCIDENCE it was an EVGA 570 Classified bought via a norwegian e-tailer
  3. You certainly may. I ordered this card at the tenth of August '11
  4. Right then. In typical me fashion, I was not able to recreate the issue whatsoever. No solid answers, just more questions. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before this issue pops up again though... Of note might be the fact that i used different SLi fingers when i fired them back up together this time. I'll keep using the cards as i usually would, and wait and see if the issue reappears. If it does i'll get to doing some more troubleshooting. Don't hesitate leaving feedback though. If you know anything about this issue i'd very much like to know. Thank you!
  5. I just did, and as i was hoping for an easy solution i was almost dissapointed when the Issue didn't occour. I'll try using the same card in the other PCI slot, and then i'll do the same thing with the other card.
  6. So i noticed my second GTX570 (This one is an EVGA Classified) running a bit hotter than my 1st 570 (Which is an EVGA Superclocked), and i figured it was due to all my hard drives blocking air flow from the front intake to my 2nd card, while the 1st card got fresh air du to less obstuction. So i took the card out out, removed some dust and relocated a couple drives in order to give the card more fresh air. The main issue however, arose when i launched a game afterwards. I got a bunch of red artifacts running across the screen, that eventually settled into red, horizontal bars running vertically up my screen. I read a few forum posts regarding simmilar issues and saw a lot of people blaming failing RAM chips on the cards. Is that the general consensus with you guys as well? I'm pretty sure i can get an RMA via EVGA, or at least via my retailer. The issue disappears when i disable SLi, and only use the 1st 570
  7. So i got the new PSU tody. It's installed, i've tidied the cable management up, and everything is running AOK. Except one big annoying fact; This new PSU makes the mobo coil whine. It's pretty much inaudible when the side panels are on, so i guess i'll just leave it at that. Ended up with a 100% modular 80+ gold PSU instead of the old semi modular 80+ bronze, so i've saved some money but it's cost me some time. Just hope this one doesn't break as well.... Almost done with thee cables. Just have to fix that lump by the PSU This fucking thing WILL make a sabertooth z77 coil whine. But other than that it's gooood
  8. It's all good it seems. They've just sent me a replacement ( http://www.komplett.no/xfx-proseries-black-edition-850w-psu/780495 ) It's like $70 more expensive than the one that broke, so that's good (Y) Can't wait. The machin gon' look sooo clean with that in it
  9. So today, for the fist time in a couple of weeks i'm back using my desktop. It's lovely not having to use the laptop that my high school has provided me with, even though it's a perfectly good laptop. But why? This is the second time i've experience what i would call major downtime due to hardware failure. Last time my PSU died and fried my mobo. This time my PSU died again, and the funny thing is that it's the exact same type as the last one that died. An XFX 850w XXX. Should be a solid PSU right? After all, i've read it's mostly the same as Seasonics PSU's. Well i don't know, but i decided to dig out my trustworthy old Chieftec 750w. Works fine, even though i've just ghetto rigged the thing while i'm waiting for my retailer to send me my replacement PSU. They've been real slooooooow this time. it's been like 10 days since i sent them the broken PSU. The first XFX PSU that died. Never got a replacement because i had removed the product #. Bad idea guys The ghetto rigged rig. Input?
  10. Get a HyperX 3k 240gb or something similar to get vastly improved day to day speed
  11. Aww, hope you get well real soon! Can't wait to see what Helios will look like! (Excellent i'm sure!)
  12. Haha! Neat way of personalizing yer build. My rig is called The Swine Pelt. A noisy brute, she is :p
