One further question - I use Windows 11 Pro and using slmgr.vbs/dli command, it states that the key is Retail and licenced. So, worst case option, if I have to change the Motherboard (hardware per Microsoft) will this key still work?

My Bios is old - 2019 ver 1201. I have issues with PCH fan (runs at 3500rpm, is noisy and I cannot control it) and bios update is long overdue. It may be that if the PCH issue is not solved, I might need a new board.

My Asus X570-E board has an old bios - 1201. With previous advice on this board, I want to update to the latest one - version 5003. Are there risks in skipping in-between versions? I plan to update via a FAT32 USB Stick and using them Bios USB port and Bios update button. Am I likely to face any issues please? Will I be able to revert back to an earlier version is something goes wrong?

Can I update to the latest 5001 Bios or do I go through intermittent versions? As for the point 4 above, the Asus bios firmware page states Before running the USB flashback tool，please rename the BIOS file (SX570EG.CAP) using BIOSRenamer Surely I cannot use the CAP file?

Having got response here to my Q-Fan not working issue, I may be forced to replace the Motherboard. Cannot afford to spend more than necessay at present, so can I just replace the motherboard with AM4 and DDR4 spec? Any suggestions on the Motherboard would be welcome. My current PC: Case be quiet! My motherboard is Strix X570-E with an old bios version 1201 x64. The Q-Fan is suddenly stuck on high speed and BIOS Q-Fan does not respond. Tried Fan Control software and that does not work. The noise is driving me mad! Also, tried to update the BIOS from within BIOS (using Internet option). It only gives me an option to update to BIOS version 3001 (Current X570-E version on Asus site is 5001). I have not yet updated. Could this be the most I can update to? Lastly, not having tried BIOS update, if things go wrong, can I use the BIOS port at the c=back of PC to change to a lower version? Any advice will be much appreciated.

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard. When booting win 10, I cannor press F2 / Del key to go into bios. I think the usb drives do not kick in at that stage. Is there a solution? I am sure this used to work before.

Looking at Samsung 970 Evo 1Tb M.2-2280 or Intel 660P for this board. It will hold windows 10. Would not hold photos and videos on it but run other programs off it. Price wise, is it better choice for intel 2Tb than 1Tb 970 pro (also for future proofing).

I have seen articles / videos about inverting the motherboard tray in this case (using a CPU liquid cooler). My questions are: 1. Why invert (other than make room at top for the cooler)? 2. If I am using air cooler, do I need to invert?

It is a few years since I last built a PC. Am puzzled with the PSU and Asus Crosshair VII Hero Motherboard connections to Corsair RM750i PSU. I can see where the 24pin connection goes from MB to PSU but not sure about the 8 pin / 4pin connections on the MB. Using Ryzen 2700X CPU, do I need the 8+4 connections and where does the other end go on the PSU please?
