  1. Hello, i bought RDR2 a couple months ago and immediately noticed that "Other Apps" took exactly 5416MB of Vram, now i tried a couple things back then but i can't quite recall what they were but it didn't do nothing so i just waited for a lot of patches in case it was a bug. Fast forward to today where this number is exactly the same, now, i'm 100% sure that nothing other than Steam and the game itself is running in the background i closed everything chrome, icue, steelseries engine etc. But nothing, i even booted my pc in safe mode and again the same exact amount, i tried Vulkan and DX12 and nothing changed, i really don't know what else to do i even deleted and reinstalled the entire game which with my internet connection literally took a whole week so i'm not too keen on doing that again. Here is a photo of the graphics settings menu: My systems specs (in case they matter) are: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790(non k) GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super RAM: 16gb 2133mhz Edit: Following rockstars recommendation i closed all running services excluding steam and rockstar and it didn't help.
  2. Well, if you REALLY want to play uncharted go for it, but you will have to use the ds4 controller, but just keep in mind that you will be throwing your money away for just the uch series
  3. If you are curious about the progress on it check here: https://www.patreon.com/AlexAltea
  4. more like *year*, it already boots, the ps4 is based on x86 so emulating it is "simpler"
  5. True, it's dirt cheap too since it's a collection
  6. It may have being used as a repeater instead of an AP
  7. Then you can always just wait for the ps4 emulator to use whatever controller you want since the ps4 treats all controller (besides the ds4) like generic controllers with no gyroscopes, etc
  8. Don't, most ps4 exclusives use the touchpad and/or sixaxis
  9. Sorry, i just noticed that this was an AP and not a modem, if you have a lan cable plugging in the AP then plug that in your pc, the AP uses the lan for wifi, you cannot use the APs lan ports for internet unless the AP was configured that way, which most aren't
  10. Personally, i didn't really enjoy uncharted 4, it lacked the feeling the previous 3 games had, then again it may just be me
  11. Since you have the game on the same drive as your os are you doing anything in the background? eg antivirus scans, updates etc?
  12. No, but there are other great titles that will make it worth your money, like horizon: zero dawn, god of war etc.
  13. My i7 is almost always at 3.83ghz with no drops or increases. The 3750 hasn't really dropped below 3.6 while gaming
  14. Hello, i recently bought a new budget gaming laptop (ASUS TUF FX705DT) that has a Ryzen 7-3750H and a GTX 1650 4GB with 16gb ram (dual channel). Now, on benchmarks (cinebench r15, 3dmark, etc.) this laptop performs almost identical to my 5 year old rig with an i7 4790 and an rx 480. On the cpu part, on 3dmark the laptop has a higher score. However, in gaming i noticed (with nothing running in the background in both systems) that my laptop more often than not has higher cpu usage compared to my i7, with some games like mass effect andromeda pushing it to 100% and causing a "huge" bottleneck (ps. both cpus are running at around 3.7ghz). Any ideas? Edit: i tried with all the laptop settings, silent, balanced and turbo (with a cooling pad) no change, well besides the silent were my fps dropped by 50% (and no the cpu or gpu are not overheating or are power limited)
  15. That's what i thought too in the beginning but in-game it didn't even reach 20% usage, if you however still think that it is not worth it i guess i have to start saving some money ?
  16. If i had that kind of money to burn i would, if i can improve the performance of my laptop for just 20$ why not to do that instead? And the r5 m330 is a dedicated gpu ?
  17. Hello there! I have an hp laptop (don't ask for the model it's pretty hard to come by) with a 15" 1080p screen an A8-7410 APU with 8 gb of 1333mhz ddr3 ram and a R5 M330. I have an old r9 280 from my main rig since i upgraded it and was wandering if it is worth to buy a 20ish dollar riser and put it on my laptop, i already have a leftover psu as well, so i will only need to buy the riser, how much of a bottleneck will the cpu be? Right now i can barely get 30ish fps on ME3 at the lowest settings at 720p let alone with ALOT. I will install 3dmark and post a gpu score soon™.
  18. I also found this relatively cheap mining motherboard, thoughts on using that? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4RE6RY1606&Description=4th gen intel motherboard&cm_re=4th_gen_intel_motherboard-_-9SIA4RE6RY1606-_-Product
  19. It is a server, however it will be doing intensive gpu work, most notably video encoding and real time transcoding.
  20. Is there some kind of splitter to turn 1 16x pcie slot to, for example, 4 4x slots? (Not mining related). Although i will plug my gpu to one of the slots the rest will be for, raid card(s) and 10gb networking. My question essentially is, is this possible (for cheap preferably) or will i have to upgrade my board? Ps. I'm using an lga1150 moba, so upgrading it will be pretty expensive since i will also have to buy ram and cpu. Thanks, in advance!
  21. Ok, so i'm looking to upgrade the connection between my server and gaming rig, right now they share a 1g line, and i was wondering what would be more practical/cheap to do, buy two 4x1g cards or 1x10g, my server however will most likely never exceed 3gbps since read/write locally i'm seeing speeds of ~370mb/s. My server is running ubuntu server 16.04LTS and i am by no means a linux guru so some tips for configuring it would also be appreciated. Also, if 4x1gs is better, can i buy an 8 port managed switch dedicated for these two and, use the onboard 1g on my systems for internet and well, file sharing for everything else on my network?
