  1. Yeah, I saw that offer and it seems a strong choice for that price point
  2. Not exactly only office work, she uses it to elaborate data through R(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_(programming_language), and she modifies exif data on photos. I need to test the various workloads on my laptop to have an idea of my laptop performs(I have an hp envy x360 13" with a ryzen 2500u and radeon 8 Graphics), so I can compare it to the other choices that I have. I saw some interesting Acer/Dell with the new 10th gen processors that as said by Harware Unboxed perform pretty well, so I could consider them. She doesn't have a preference on screen size. On the weight I think under the 2.5 kg is good enough. EDIT: Just saw this: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/dell-inspiron-14-5000-14-2-in-1-touchscreen-laptop-10th-gen-i7-1 What do you think about it?
  3. Hi to all of you, I need help about choosing a laptop for my sister who is in Australia atm. She needs a portable but powerful pc for exif/research usage, like handling large amount of data with R. She has already an iMac(yeah I know, it is not the most powerful pc but she didn't ask for my advice when she bought it?). She as a budget of 1500 aud, and as I am in Italy, I have a little trouble searching through the internet for offers on Australian sites ?. I was thinking something like an hp envy x360(don't know if Intel https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/hp-envy-x360-15-dr0015tx-15-6-full-hd-2-in-1-laptop-i5 or AMD), or perhaps something else. Thanks to all who reply, much appreciated.
  4. The first and new LG gram 2in1 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-gram-2-in-1-14-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-512gb-solid-state-drive-dark-silver/6318179.p?skuId=6318179
  5. @Jurrunio You think that grams are more flexible, and have a poorer general build quality? At this price point I think that the 16 gb of ram and overall hardware of this product are overkill.
  6. Hi, So I am new to the forum (1st post), and I wanted to ask your opinion on the new LG gram 2-in-1 laptop, as none has considered it a viable option. I consider it a very valid solution against its competition, like the surface pro, or the new hp x360, as the LG has an included stylus, and even its screen seems made with a good quality. And the price is that sweet spot that I like (1500 USD). So what do you think about this convertible that LG has made? Is it a valid solution to the competition? Should Linus review it? (I'd like the last one)
