I am in the market for a fun gaming headset and having a tough time finding the right one. The argon mk3 sounds perfect but I'm not fond of the idea of how hard it is to drive and cords being all over. If a portable amp around $100 would do the trick that would be great since I mostly game on xbox.
Is there another fun low end base with a big soundstage headphone that is easy to drive out there? I am currently looking at the sony wh-ch700n - got a great review on rtings.com and the akg 7xx came up when I was looking around. My Budget is $300 and would prefer to stay in the $200 range.
