    talem84 got a reaction from xAcid9 in why did my bottleneck go up when i upgraded from a 2600x to a 3600 with a 1080?   
    well playing control on everything maxed out, gpu is hitting 99% and im getting between 60-63 fps. im just using the bottleneck caluclator and its telling me that betwecuase i upgraded my cpu its bottle necking more.

    No, I'd stick with the RAM you have. RAM doesn't (most of the time) have (much of) an impact on performance, so going to a different RAM would yield very minimal results.
     
    to expand on my "Most of the time", Ryzen CPUs benefit from faster RAM. You have 3200Mhz RAM which is fast enough. Also CAS latency affects stuff, but I don't know much about it. All I know is it has a pretty minimal effect , and that 16 is the norm (I think at least).

    Depending what board and what bios version, yes- but the chances those line up are kind of slim.
    Either way, neither of those are very strong chips and I'd definitely keep my eye on a 4790.
