  1. Just tried everything even trying to get under it with an extremely thin blade. Nothing works though, it’s solid can barely scrape the access from the sides.
  2. Thanks everyone, will give it a try later today and let you’ll know how it goes.
  3. Forgot to mention that I was using the stock cooler and paste.
  4. Hi, I own a hotel and built a PC for it. It had a drive issue. When I looked at the PC I saw that it was very dusty so I decided totale it home and do a deep clean. Everything was going great until I had to remove the cpu cooler, I undid all the screws and pulled on it. It didn’t come off, I then decided to remove the backplate (incase some of the screws were not fully unscrewed). I added some more force and... it came off. But when I lifted ... there was no cpu in the socket. The cpu is literally glued onto the cooler I tried to carefully remove it, but it’s really stuck. Ps: the cpu is fine (3 Pins are very slightly bent) Any suggestions on what to do ? Or should i just try to contact amd. Will try a few other methods, but yeah
  5. Hi, I want to build a NAS and am not sure what parts to buy. I want to spend only about $250 (except drives). I'm primarily going to use it for storage but might make a vm for a network wide add blocker. I was thinking of a Ryzen 3 2200G but have no idea about AMD motherboards and can't find one that has multiple sata ports and at least 2 Pcie slots. It dosen't need to have a good ethernet port as I good network card lying around. Thanks, any suggestions would be a great help.
  6. it is working now, i just unplugged all of my other drives and it booted will now plug in the drives one by one to see which is the problem
  7. I have FreeNAS installed on a usb drive, but it is detected.
  8. Hi, I have recently built a nas from some old hardware i had lying around and it was running (FreeNAS) perfectly. Then the other day I turned off the nas (like every night) and in the morning it refused to turn on. the system booted but couldn’t load the FreeNAS software. To test is it was my hardware, I added a usb stick loaded with windows and it opened the windows installer. I then downloaded the latest version of FreeNAS and it booted. I then proceeded to update the software (through the installer). I then made a new boot drive but that didn’t work either. I really don’t know what to do would really appreciate some help. Thanks
  9. Thanks for all the help, after a bit more digging (to confirm), it did end up being the motherboard. I am going to get it replaced tomorrow.
  10. hi, I have just built my first PC how ever it doesn’t boot 2 ram sticks installed only with one. My rig is: asus z390 e corsair vengeance rgb pro (2x16 3200) zotac 2080 i9 990k i have tried all the slots and even did the unthinkable and put them to get her, but no luck. Both the sticks do work since I tried both of them in single channel and it booted. But when they are both in the motherboard the led gets stick on DRAM and doesn’t boot. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
  11. Hi, I am currently building a home nas from an old PC with a motherboard they has 1 X16 slot and 1 x1 slot. I was wondering if there was a way to split the X16 slot into two X8 slots as I need to add some expansion slots.
