  1. I've build a new computer about a week ago My old computer had a gtx 960 and an i7 5820k on 16gb of ram I would play games ( currently Black Desert Online and Apex Legends ) on my main monitor and watch youtube / twitch videos on my 2nd monitor just fine I'd always have games on Borderless windowed mode both monitors were connected to my GPU so the onboard GPU wasn't in use atall. My new computer has way better speccs with a GTX 2080 i7 9700k and 32 gb of ram both monitors also go into the GPU the only thing that changes is my main monitor now connecting with a DP cable rather than a DVI. When im playing games doesnt really matter which game im playing also on borderless windowed mode the Stream / Video on my 2nd monitor is lagging and it sometimes also freezes until i tab out and click on the browser Also while games run at much higer fps on much better quality my computer itself sometimes feels slower than my old one, opening folders or just the browser felt way faster on my old computer than it does now Does anybody know what could cause this? Any help would be appreciated!
  2. Alright a DP cable gets me 144hz now i know that too thanks guys!
  3. Might just go out and buy a DP cable. Hopefully that'll fix it!
  4. I know that it doesnt support it over HDMI, had the issue before where i've tried to get 144hz via HDMI before. However i was certainly surprised that i've managed to get 144hz using DVI to HDMI
  5. So 144hz can only be achieved with DVI to HDMI and not the other way arround?
  6. Bought a new computer and it arrived today. Was running a dual monitor setup with my old PC where i'd have my 2nd monitor run on 60hz because it can't get higher than that and my main monitor ( BenQ ZOWIE XL2430 ) was running on 144hz I had my main monitor running with DVI to HDMI ( DVI in GPU and HDMI in monitor ) My new PC ( Heres the speccs: Case: iBuyPower Snowblind Element CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-9700K Motherboard : MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS -- 2x PCIe x16, 1x USB 3.1 Gen 2 RAM: 16GB DDR4/3200MHz RGB Dual Channel Memory GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 - 8GB - MSI GAMING X TRIO ) My 2nd monitor runs on the onboard GPU via my motherboard HDMI to HDMI The new GPU has no DVI ports, it only has HDMI and Display ports so im running HDMI ( GPU ) to DVI ( Monitor ) however i can't change the refresh rate to 144hz anywhere. Not in the Nvidia control panel neither in the Display settings. My Drivers are up 2 date I've restarted multiple times and i've tried using a HDMI ( GPU ) to HDMI ( Monitor ) cable which didn't change anything. I'd greatly appreciate any help and i'd like to excuse myself in advance for my poor sentencing ( English isn't my first language )
