  1. Running Prime95's blended test and HWInfo, I'm running stable at 4.7 GHz / 1.333~ V. Seems much more reasonable. Thanks for pointing that out.
  2. @Jurrunio From within the BIOS. In the general overview stats and also beside the CPU voltage setting that shows it's set to "AUTO".
  3. Hi there, I've had my current PC with an i7-6700k since late 2016 with an ASUS ROG Maximus VIII motherboard. Purchased and built myself. I have the motherboard set to auto-overclock at 4.7 GHz - and it has been running stable ever since without any issues. After learning more recently about how to fine-tune CPU voltages when setting up overclocking, I checked my BIOS to see what the automatic OC was setting my voltage to - and to my surprise, it's displaying 1.472V. I've heard it said that you should never exceed 1.45V, and that some people play it safe by not going above 1.4V. Any input on this? You would think that the automatic setting wouldn't allow values that could cook your CPU... but I'm more of a software guy so I'm not sure. Again, it's been running smoothly for years without any issues, so as far as I can tell the automatic setting is doing it's job. Just want to be sure.
