Puffing got a reaction from 3ddyBoi in What gaming & video editing laptop to buy in may 2021?
I am a youtuber, and am gonna be needing a laptop as I'm gonna be traveling for a while but would still like to play videogames and make videos. This laptop will also end up being a university laptop once I'm done traveling.
here is what I need it to do:
run Davinci Resolve Studio really well, at least at 1080p but I imagine ill be doing some 4k projects. plays video games, im a gamer :P most demanding titles ill play are gonna be games like COD:Warzone, BFV, and new titles as they come out. has good storage, I don't mind adding my own storage but it needs to fit in my budget and 1tb is kinda the minimum. Budget: MAX: 1250 USD with any other purchases (extra ram idk) laptops i'm looking at:
ROG Zephyrus g14 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-g14-14-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-max-q-1tb-ssd-moonlight-white/6403816.p?skuId=6403816 Dell G5 15 AMD* https://deals.dell.com/en-us/mpp/productdetail/8nly Evoo Gaming 15 https://www.walmart.com/ip/EVOO-Gaming-15-6-Laptop-FHD-120Hz-AMD-Ryzen-7-4800H-Processor-NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-2060-THX-Spatial-Audio-512GB-SSD-16GB-RAM-RGB-Backlit-Keyboard-HD-Ca/233313280 The selection is not limited to these but id like an opinion on what I should do (obviously cheaper is better, so if there is a possibility to save more money that would be great)
*i am interested in the all amd stuff idk what its advantages/disadvantages are

Puffing got a reaction from brob in Final thoughts on my Content Creation build before i buy
in my last post i was told to get a combo of a 2070 super and r7 3700c... i recently was able to shuffle some money around and now can get an r9 3900x with a 2060 super, is this a good combo i make youtube videos with premiere pro and then i stream on twitch. a few questions, is the ram too tall for the cooler. does the motherboard have good wifi and decent oc capability? (its 0 for a reason because i will be getting this as a gift) if another mobo keep it in the $250 range.
also just general feedback before i buy the stuff. (i have case and psu: dark base 700 rm850x)

I looked a pudg t systems benchmarks and the Vega 64 is worse than a 1060 in premiere pro? Is this wrong because I would like something better than a 1060.

Puffing got a reaction from steelo in Advice for a budget build for a friend
Yeah gaming will be on 1080p but medium to low settings. Games like overwatch Minecraft and indie steam games etc... and he wants to be able to use it for everyday computing as well such as YouTube, a little photo editing and such. The 2200g looks like a good cpu and if I were to use some of the budget getting “high end” ram with high speeds, I think that would be the go.

I guess you just kinda want a new system. Yeah, I'd wait for Ryzen 2 to see what it's really got for us.
