EpiCheeseTime reacted to CWALD in Laptop drawing pad/screen needed
Wacom tablets are super nice and an industry standard for artists. The ones with screens are expensive but you can adapt to the ones without a lot quicker then it would seem.

Huion Kamvas
price depends on how big screen you want.
I recommend the newer models with the pen that doesn't require battery
The XP-Pen is also quite nice...
Wacom is likely the best but its way more expensive

If she's using it for Adobe or similar at any level beyond beginner/novice, I'd stroooongly suggest going with Wacom over the generic Chinese budget tablets, even though they cost a bit more. Driver support is miles ahead, compatibility, tutorial availability, etc.
Wacom One can be had for $375 right now: https://estore.wacom.com/en-US/wacom-one-dtc133w0a.html

Did you just copy and paste the entire news article? Don't do that. Someone took the time to write that and they make money by people visiting their site to read their articles.

EpiCheeseTime reacted to Spotty in NVIDIA quietly announces a GT 1010 that's apparently faster than a GT 1030 DDR4
I was not expecting Nvidia to release a new Pascal card in 2021.
Maybe if we pretend like this is a really good graphics card all the scalpers will rush out to buy it, then get stuck with a bunch they can't sell.
Wow, the GT 1010!? I've been waiting for this for years! This is going to be the best value graphics card on the market! Hopefully I will be able to buy one on launch!

EpiCheeseTime reacted to WhitetailAni in Should I repaste my graphics card?
If the paste is hard, it helps a lot. My (legendary at this point) GTX 650 Ti Boosts have blower cards and repasting lowered idle temps by 10C.
Just make sure to reconnect the fan - I was confused why I had 70C idle temps until I noticed the fan wasn't spinning.

its a blower style card... you likely wont see much if any real improvement sadly.

The fact that thousands of Americans uploaded images of the front and back of their state driver's licenses just to become 'verified citizens' on a social media app is the biggest indication I've seen that we need better privacy and technological literacy education.

The cryptocurrency market has to die. From a logical and rational point of view it makes no sense whatsoever to convert electricity into an online currency. It literally has zero purpose. No I don't care that it helps you dodge taxations or that you are able to make an income from this. Electricity usage is already high enough in the world, we don't need morons running graphics cards day and night for nothing more than just money making reasons. I doubt Americans are able to understand my argument or care too much about environmental consequences but I can definitely see the EU stepping in one day and regulating this because it literally defies logic from a humanity perspective.
