  1. Hello guys, here is my situation: I'm currently building my first PC and I am struggling with my dual boot options (I am completely new to this and have never installed an OS before=. I have 2 "500GB Samsung SSDs" on which I want to install the OS( Windows and Linux) and I want two use the 1TB HDD as storage that is viewable from both OS (SSDs). 1. Do I have all drives connected during the whole process? I was reading about disconnecting windows SSD when installing linux. 2. Can the two SSD see each other? (Is it possible to disable the SSDs from seeing each other?) 3.Do I need to do something specific with the HDD for booth OS to see it? 4.Can I just follow normal instructions for installing the OS or do I need to follow somethin specific? 5. Any pitfalls I need to know about??? Thank you in advance!
  2. Hey guys, 1. Budget & Location I'm from Germany and this is my first self build PC and I set myself a budget of 1500€. 2. Aim , Monitor & Peripherals My Aim is to have a solid PC for Deep Learning, but really anything faster than a MacBook is an improvement. I will only run One Monitor but might add a second one in the future. Furthermore, I have all my other peripherals. My plan is to have both, Linux and Windows on two different SSDs here is my configuration: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 7 2700 3.2 GHz 8-Core Processor €264.00 @ Alternate CPU Cooler Cooler Master - MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler €67.90 @ Amazon Deutschland Motherboard Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard €126.89 @ Amazon Deutschland Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory €229.90 @ Amazon Deutschland Storage Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive €85.80 @ Mindfactory Storage Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive €85.80 @ Mindfactory Video Card Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB GAMING 8G Video Card €487.70 @ Amazon Deutschland Case Corsair - 270R ATX Mid Tower Case €59.90 @ Amazon Deutschland Power Supply Corsair - TXM Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Wireless Network Adapter Asus - PCE-AC56 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €1407.89 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-03-13 11:44 CET+0100 I don't need a whole lot of storage and have an external 2TB HDD for some extra stuff. So my question is, did I miss anything? I already checked twice, but might there be compatability problems anywere? Also, do my choices make sense or is there a havy bottleneck somewere?
