486DX Win3.1 got a reaction from Fasauceome in My PC Runs Most Benchmarks Great But Won't Play Games Anymore???
I just had a previous antivirus and let it expire and then one day noticed that I really had not checked for viruses in quite a long time. I found a very good deal on Norton, so I switched to that.
However after seeing Norton, I disabled about 80% of what it "can" do because it was creating processes and stuff and giving me popups and I legit feel like asking NOrton WHY I AM THE ONE THAT PAYS THEM, they should be paying me for all the Shit that they pop up on me

Bob Lazar and quite a few others do claim to have worked on compartmentalized back-engineering of recovered UFO Tech

There are some pretty high level officials that are coming forward about such things, with more and more detailed recollections.

Just because something came from a UFO does not mean that it can't be used in some kind of energy generator. Sheeesh.....

Ah yeah true, of course, I was a bit too fast there. Thanks for the correction. I think my thought came from knowing that some motherboards only support up to, lets say, 3200MHz and then if you installed 3600MHz, then that would not be compatible obviously, but of course, RAM are not locked that that speed and there's always JEDEC speeds.

    Sorry OP

No offense, but your analysis comes across as kind of naive. You say $250 is a bad value for a backpack, but don’t compare it to any other backpacks of similar quality. What is your benchmark? A $100 target backpack? $250 isn’t even a crazy amount for a high end backpack since most backpacks for work (not school) start at $150. Quality products that are made ethically cost a lot of money. Also, the point of a union isn’t to make sure a company is run democratically. Unions are there to make sure employees are treated well and compensated fairly. If your employer is already doing this then why would you ever form a union? You would literally be wasting money paying union dues to get what you already have.

My previous gaming laptop was a 7300HQ + 1050, so even lower perf than you're looking at. I was gaming fine on it. I wanted more GPU on it than CPU for the games I was running.

At the time the 1700 was a bit of a dog for gaming. Low clock, and the architecture just didn't agree with most games. I also had a 1700 and swapped it for a 6600k which performed much better for the games of the time. Left the 1700 for compute tasks where it did better in than gaming. Maybe it'll be a bit different today. The low clock part doesn't change but for those games that can multi-thread better it could suck less.

I'm gonna disagree with the comments so far. While 7600k is not "ideal" it'll work fine for most games, leaning towards older games. Keep in mind the CPU and GPU were current at about the same time 6 or so years ago and both are around mid tier. Yes, 4c4t is a bit lacking in today's world and it will impact some performance. You wont make Elden Ring, but you'll still be fine for Cyberpunk 2077 for example.

Rather than turn down graphical settings, you should do the opposite and turn them up. Give the GPU more work to do. Do not scale down the GPU for the CPU. You scale the GPU to your target rendering settings. 1070 (which I used to own) is decent for 1080p and still good at 1440 with settings adjustments.

Personally I hate the "bottlenecking" thinking. It will vary depending on settings. The better question is can you run what you want adequately? Doesn't matter which way the bottleneck is if you have a good experience.

Certainly - most conspiracy theorists will fit the evidence to the theory and disregard evidence that doesn't fit, rather than the other way around.

They don't come up with a hypothesis and then test it. They come up with the answer to the hypothesis, then they go looking for things that make it work.
Even if the Fermi Paradox is real and Earth is the only planet in the Milky Way to have life (let alone sentient life), there are literally countless galaxies in the universe. Quite simply, if we are alone in the entire universe, then most likely there's some kind of God or Higher Power that made it so. Note: I don't believe in a higher power like that.

The odds of us being alone in the entirety of the universe is just mind bogglingly small, given how many possible variations of galaxies there are.

It's true that we don't have evidence for aliens, but at the same time, our method of collecting evidence is literally light (or radio waves) - so we can only see out as far as about 100-130 years distance. If an Alien society arose a million years ago, but it's in the Andromeda galaxy, even if we're looking in the right spot, we wouldn't be able to tell for another ~1.5 million years from now.

TL;DR: Speed of Light sucks and really limits the kind of knowledge we can gain about the universe.

So while it's not 100% certain that other aliens exist, I'd suggest it's 99.9% certain that other aliens either exist right now or have existed in the universe previously.

Just put in the i5, you're not going to get enough of an increase in the selling cost to make the i7 worth while, plus you'll still have the i5 left over doing nothing.
The 1070 makes the most sense, as it'd be the hardest to sell...though the 1660 would be a very close second.

6600k, OC it a bit, with a 1070 that’s a pretty standard PC for the era.

Then sell the other GPU’s by themselves.

I use a Sound Blaster Z-series card in an extra PCIe x1 slot.
    NVME cards of course.
WiFi card if you're not using Ethernet could be nice
... or a FirePro 2270 x1. Add another GPU to your system (for some reason)!

No harm in trying in my opinion. Science is just a tool in the end and as mr. Savage once said: the difference between science and messing around is writing it down. We accept these things as facts, because they match what is observed but at the same time a lot of credibility comes from the fact that it has been written down and verified over time. A lot of science can sound like magic if you don't come from a scientific field. Going against the status quo is always tricky, but yeah anti-gravity using electric fields from rare radioactive nuclei are a bit too exotic for me as well.

It might be possible for some exotic mechanism that can produce a stable isotope of 115 to exist, but the fact that we haven't synthesised it yet should indicate that it's either a very rare and unlikely reaction (or one outside our explored energy ranges) or one that doesn't exist. At least we can say that we won't make or find a big chunk of Moscovium any time soon.

Reading even just the Wikipedia page on Moscovium should explain fairly well that:
    -it doesn’t exist in nature
-it’s practically useless and was made as a proof of concept
-since it basically just radiates away and breaks down in under a second

You could do the same thing for Bob Lazar and come to the conclusion he’s just a weirdo.

We can be pretty confident it doesn't exist in nature for a prolonged amount of time:
The half-life time indicates how long it takes for (statistically) half the amount of material to have decayed into other things. We know that radioactive decay goes as N(t) = N0 * e**(-(ln(2)/T) * t) where N is the number of nuclei, N0 the number you start with, T is the half-life time and t is the time in seconds that have passed. Since the number of particles is proportional to the mass we can just replace N with the mass for sake of this argument. This means that for any notable amount of Moscovium, after 0.65 seconds half of it will have decayed into something else. 0.65 later another half. After just 5 seconds there is only 0.5% of the original amount left. If you plug in the entire mass of the earth of Moscovium into this equation and calculat what is left after 60 seconds you get

    5.9e27 gram * e**(-(ln(2)/0.65 s) * (60 s)) = 0.96 gram

It would take 1 minute for just a gram to be left.
