  7. 1 1/2 year old computer build still chugging away, upgraded GPU and memory sticks and rest is same. Needs some TLC (can or 2 of air) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz ((MSI 750 TI 2048 MB GDDR5 / 5400 MHz Memory )) <-- old GPU ---> (MSI)GeForce GTX 1050 Ti RAM 16 GB(4X4 G.Skill Ripzaw 1600) Operating System Windows 10(64 bit) Samsung Gaming Monitor 1 Terra SSD
  8. Did not fully understand that DDU reference, have never heard of. Went looking it up and now have a little more reference. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html oops and thx to those who suggested will be doing this asap
  9. and oops forgot reinstall SDRAM..
  10. PC shop said: 1: Remove DDR3 SDRAM 2: Remove old GPU 3: Restart without any in SDRAM slots to let it reset 4:Uninstall old GPU drivers +Disable onboard 5: Install new GPU and let windows handle the driver and if all else fails remove battery(clear CMOS) don't know if it has a battery, or at least not 1 I can see first glance if that fails bring it in cause he really wants to see this...lol (hope it's not a dud) 750ti is ddr5 1080 ti is ddr5x may be some issue with frequency? and removing my SDRAM may solve that Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Video Card Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000(onboard) ((MSI 750 TI 2048 MB GDDR5 / 5400 MHz Memory )) <-- what's in it all the time RAM 16 GB(4X4 G.Skill Ripzaw 1600) Operating System Windows 10(64 bit) Samsung Gaming Monitor 1 Terra SSD
  11. Nope, none this worked and installing new drivers is bust.Still black screen on start up, can't see diddly. May end up taking to PC shop this week
  12. Really was just wanting upgrade from my 750ti even though it handles all games I own on computer the 1080ti blows it out of the water. With 750 ti and old monitor I usually set custom settings, medium quality and some setting off just got a good price for the 1080ti and new monitor, just need to get it working.
  13. Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Video Card Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000(onboard) RAM16 GB Operating System Windows 10(64 bit) Samsung Gaming Monitor 1 terra ssd
  14. Old Graphics card needs replaced(750ti) replacing with 1080ti(highest i can put with motherboard?) Z77 Sabertooth Motherboard, have a external disk drive for graphics card disk. Anyways going from VGA monitor to HDMI/Display port and after installation I get Black screen(yes I'm new at this) Solutions show as follows, take out graphics-boot up using onboard-disable onboard and set boot to safe mode-shut down-install new card turn on-install graphics drivers?-turn safe mode off restart. Sorry for my ignorance, but is this correct? Currently sitting with onboard graphics and new card has to be installed.
