  1. yeah, an entry level GPU is sufficient, 16GB of Ram is all you'll need unless you are AntVenom. And as for the CPU, I suggest the Ryzen 5 1600 it has 6 core it is unlocked and the cooler it comes with is gd you can overclock it a bit.
  2. Yeah but remember you editing lite footage here for school so extreme core count isn't a necessity plus this money is better spent on a better GPU like the 2060, faster Ram, more storage and faster storage.

The r5 2600 is an excellent CPU for editing and I don't imagine you need more than that for your editing. As for the cooler, I suggest you ask the forums to help you pick one as I don't know what is best and this one is a place holder.
  4. Well it is good enough,he can get a better one for a bit more but keep in mind he wants to upgrade his CPU so savin some money for that is a good idea
  5. Yeah and make sure to have a look at the RX580 8GB good card and handles 1080p well . It is a good option if you want to have more leftover for the CPU
  6. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rMhKHx/zotac-geforce-rtx-2060-6-gb-gaming-video-card-zt-t20600f-10m This is the RTX 2060, the best GPU under 400$. It will do 1080p and 1440p no problem and pretty good frame rates.
  7. I think go 2060. It has faster memory and maybe less but better performance and you would get insurance.
  8. Yep and if you decide to go prebuilt there are some good sites like Digital storm and origin etc.
  9. Check if you have the latest drivers maybe those will fix it?
  10. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/q23H99/xfx-radeon-rx-580-8gb-gts-black-video-card-rx-580p8dbdr It is actually 185 W not as extreme as you said like 500w-600w power supply is enough
  11. Yeah plus you get 2 games now so RX580 is a better deal by a long shot
  12. A new RX 580 or RX590 for that matter are still better than the 1660, you get 2 games and 3 games respectively, which is a great bonus for the card and the 2GB advantage is pretty nice for 1440P as it is viable on those cards
  13. Well if you are streaming the ryzen 7 is better with the better multi thread performance. But I recon you wait for Ryzen 3000.
  14. I don't think so they already reviewed Rx 580 before, I think.
