Levent got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Seeking feedback on the parts that I've chosen for a web development server
Looks fine, you might have benefited from a nvme but i wouldnt lose any sleep over that. Dont build this thing on top a carpet.

There's a lot of problems here. That CPU doesn't support that much RAM. That CPU is DDR4 only.
That motherboard isn't compatible with that CPU.

Levent reacted to Needfuldoer in Question about ASUS Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE
The motherboard has video input, so it can loop that plus USB out over one cable to a compatible monitor.

Levent got a reaction from Needfuldoer in Is raspberry pi zero 2w enough for these or should I get the bigger ones
You are RAM limited. You can do all of those but I have doubts about doing them all at once.

Forwarding your RDP/SMB ports to internet is asking for people to have fun.
I solely use RDP for windows and VNC for everything else. I run these behind a VPN though.

Levent reacted to SSDsNotSSRIs in Replacing my gpu fans for Noctua fans
I promise you bro, its fine. Also you can buy an already made cable on amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082G2CT17/?coliid=I20N6I25CIUUUS&colid=2PDGF5K0ORDKC&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_gv_ov_lig_pi_dp
Also may people have reported that the sound of a 120 is much pleasing than the sheik of the stock case fans. Not to mention preforming much much better.

Levent got a reaction from SSDsNotSSRIs in Replacing my gpu fans for Noctua fans
"Deshrouding" a working card is dumb and just creates more e-waste. Swapping out your GPU fans with noctua fans will also be a super jank solution, you will lose ability to control GPU fans (unless you make your own cable).

Levent got a reaction from NewUser114 in Does data on old hdd remains when inserting it to new PC?
Hard disks are persistent data storage devices. So it will be there. Partition letter assignment is a Windows thing, it will simply use whatever letters are empty.

Levent got a reaction from Needfuldoer in How to run a tplink omada controller on truenas scale
Just run it in a ubuntu VM? Should be orders of magnitude easier than attempting to run that thing in freebsd and in a jail.
