  1. How in the fuck I am getting 4+ months of battery life with a single charge with my MX Ergo? meanwhile this Glorious MOW is barely getting a week and its super annoying.

  2. Your computer is posting fine. Your issue is probably that you are not getting any display output.
  3. Looks fine, you might have benefited from a nvme but i wouldnt lose any sleep over that. Dont build this thing on top a carpet.
  4. Can’t make sense out of whatever this is. If your phone is not recognized by your PC and another using different cables, then only constant there is your phone and problem is most likely with it.
  5. You are RAM limited. You can do all of those but I have doubts about doing them all at once.
  6. Forwarding your RDP/SMB ports to internet is asking for people to have fun. I solely use RDP for windows and VNC for everything else. I run these behind a VPN though.
  7. I might be one of those people who prefer sleeping bags to actual beds. I even got the hardest bed they were selling yet that shitty old sleeping bag I got from a friend as a gift works better for me.

I started sleeping on the floor regularly ever since I got a faux fur rug.

Not comfortable at first, but now I sometimes prefer it over the bed or sofa.

Floor time is very important. If I have a bout of insomnia, I have a little pseudo futon I put out on the floor and that usually works to get me to sleep. Usually, I'm in for the softest, fluffiest cloud possible to rest on.

I have a normal bed. I sleep well in it. I must be special.

  8. Hard disks are persistent data storage devices. So it will be there. Partition letter assignment is a Windows thing, it will simply use whatever letters are empty.
  9. A piece of rock that I purchased as an prebuilt with an i9 takes the cake.
  10. Yes Yes Yes, they often HAVE to. They didnt let it.

This is tempting me to ditch my Ubisoft account…

Problem is you will still have to use Ubisofts shit to play their games.
  12. All are terrible and none of them most likely wont help you with videos just because they are ancient. Get something like GT1030.

Who here can solve the rubiks cube?

never really gave a fuck about it but last time I picked one up took me 10 minutes. I dont really enjoy playing with it nowadays, really triggers my ADHD.
  14. I am not sure if pre HD7XXX series cards have EFI compatibility. You would usually need to enable CSM and enable legacy vbios compat. Your motherboard might have messed up PCIE slot too.

Who here can solve the rubiks cube?

    I can
  16. Not really. Ubisoft Connect has its own updater, it doesnt need to be updated or maintained by a third party.
  17. Just run it in a ubuntu VM? Should be orders of magnitude easier than attempting to run that thing in freebsd and in a jail.
  18. You can fold flat cables on their own with zipties. You can also strech cables to cable tie points to make them look less shitty and make closing your sidepanel easier. You can also attempt to squeze motherboard EPS power connector behind it through the CPU cooler cutaway if you have one. Results in real clean look. Here is a little bit of an extreme implementation from my backup server, motherboard is smaller than usual so there is extra gap on the right side to even squeeze in 24 pin.
  19. Holy shit. Why ITX? 5 5.25" bay and ITX is a weird combination. I am not sure if there is a case that fits that description. 5 bays will be massive no matter what.
  20. Use Clonezilla to clone 500GB disk into brand new 4TB disk and manually move contents of the 2tb disk. Clonezilla is free. Get a M2 Bkey to USB adapter.
  21. You can change the static assigned address space range. I can change it to for example, 256mb or 512mb with my work L15 gen2 (1165g7). Other than that it can still use more than 512mb of vram when needed and there is simply nothing I can do.

    That's one way of securing DIMM-Modules in a RA…

Lmaoooo that thing looks like an overly “engineered” modified 3d printer.
