AND results are actually inverted lol. First one was OVPN (10.0.2.1), second was WG (10.0.1.1).

Actually wait. Both of these are through WG. Eh, this only works on if I run pfsense as the iperf3 client.

Wireguard on an shitty 12USD a year VPS. 200ms latency from here. First connection is through WG Gateway, second is through OpenVPN.
  4. I had this weird issue with wireguard where certain https traffic would fail to be sent over wireguard and somehow always default to wan. I first figured out the maximum MTU I can get (which was 1472) then I set the MSS to value 80 below MTU (so 1392 in my case) and that fixed it. Putting it here because i know i will experience this again.

Turn Intel turbo boost off in all your laptops.…

Base frequency of 2.8ghz vs 4.7ghz is a big difference, im keeping it. Battery life sucks either way.
  6. I experimented with this setting in nvcleaninstall and I feel like games run a lot smoother now. Can anyone else confirm?

  7. Last week I ordered 16 HDDs thinking I would have 2 in spare. I realized I would actually need 16 drives and I would have no spares. Then I realised correct math is actually 18 and I needed 2 more drives. So I had to order AGAIN.

Just did a similar thing replacing a bunch of my home automation / alarm sensors. Went around the house counting up sensors, plugs etc. Ordered, even ordered a couple extra.  Some how still ended up short. Placed a second order.

Then due to some of this stuff being upgrades / changing some things, I yet another order, as I ran into a couple things that were different.

  8. Fusion360 is free for home users. Its a great tool to get started imo. TONS of tutorials online and UI is fairly easy as per Autodesk fashion. You can import STL files into it too.

100% would love it if all cases came with chassis intrusion detection.
  10. One of these days I am going to write something to match my location while I was listening to a song. Thanks to google and Lastfm, all the data is there. On that note, I have been using lastfm for the last 10 years!

its not stable enough for it to load windows from an usb drive though. I guess I dont need more evidence that IMC is much better on my 3600 than my 5800X.
  13. lol... I just cranked the voltages of the 4x32G kit I have in my server and managed to get my server to boot at 4000mhz with IF matching. 1.65v for good measure sure worked lmao.

  14. I mean its sure good news but 30K out of how many? Which devices will be upgraded? End user? POS? infrastructure? backend?
  15. If I were in your shoes and if I didnt have a CPU for my media server and I could upgrade my 3700X in the process, I would 100% take that oppurtunity to get a 5800X3D and a decent CPU cooler. However, alternative would be something like 3200G would be more than sufficient for a nas.
  16. Depends on what you plan on doing. A basic NAS does need many cores.
  17. Title and the content ask a different question. They are already in the PCs.
  18. As far as I know no. Isn’t FSR merely a software implementation?
  19. Cinebench doesnt really crash unless rams are extremely unstable. I personally recommend this option in Prime95.
  20. First screenshot shows your currently applied settings, second one shows the supported timing/frequency profiles your rams support.
  21. Native 4k is not gonna happen in games like Cyberpunk with that card. If you blast the FSR to worst looking option then yeah you can probably get it to work but it will look like shit.
  22. You turned on the DOCP but your motherboard didnt apply them. See the second picture, it shows your XMP-3200 profile at the last column in the timings table. You were supposed to have 16,20,20,38,58 as your primary timings, you have them at 22,22,22,52,74. Timings alone tell me this could be a Hynix kit.
