  1. Well, first off I have an asus turbo rtx 2080 and it runs way too hot for being in an open framed thermaltake P3. Under load in games like Rise of The Tomb raider it runs way hot at like 83c. but in games like overwatch, I really have to watch it because when I let it stretch its legs, it runs anywhere to 73 to 85c. I'm in a bit of a sticky situation given it's a prebuilt system off of cyber power it's only like 1 month old. I don't know whether I should contact asus or whatever, or try to sell the gpu?
  2. I’m thinking maybe like 100 to 120 for the 1050ti and like 60 for the 270x
  3. I have 2 older gpus, on being a Gtx 1050ti ssc and a sapphire dual x r9 270x. Are there any places where I could trade these puppies in for some dough?
  4. I think you’ll be ok overclocking your cpu. The AMD wraith cooler is pretty capable as a cooler. I’ve seen videos on YouTube a guy pushing the boundaries of the cooler. And it really held up pretty well. As for the igpu I believe it’s up in the ballpark of the RX560 rather then the 1050 which is a little better. Hope this helps!
  5. So is the 2080 going to cause immediate issues if im using a 144hz 1080p monitor for the time being?
  6. Yeah, I may not even go past 1080p. I'm a little lost here coming from a system where bottlenecks were not a concern. like my old system was a i5 8300h and a 1050ti. I saw a video from jayztwocents where he was running a ryzen and a 2080 and i think his ram was running at 3000 or 3200mhz i think.
  7. I know the ram is not really the best and I'm definitely gonna go for something from corsair. It seems like you all are saying that ryzens thrive off of ram so I'm gonna make sure that's all good. My understanding here is that if I had faster ram, the 2700x would be able to keep up with the 2080 a little better? So anyways my budget is $1800 (US). I have an almost open-air case (Thermaltake P3) and and from what I understand a blower style cooler should be ok since I'm not gonna overclock it even in the slightest.(I'm building this one btw). What would be a good memory speed here too? a lot of y'all were saying like 3200mhz but im not sure what is reccomended for ryzens.
  8. Hey everyone, I’m planning to build a new system with these specs: CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 2700X GPU: ASUS RTX 2080 TURBO RAM : GIEL EVO POTENZA 16gb (2x8gb DUAL CHANNEL) MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE AORUS 5 STORAGE: 250gb SSD 3tb HDD any input would be appreciated im planning on running games at 1080p on a 144 hz monitor.
