  1. Hello; I was looking at the XFX Radeon RX 5700 and noticed the connectors for it, which it has 1 HIDMI 2.0b, and 3 Displayport 1.4. In what case would you use the HDMI port? Like I am running a 2 monitor setup, would I get 2 HDMI to Displayport cords? Or 2 DVI-D to DisplayPort cords? Any thoughts and suggestions would be great!
  2. Hello; So I just ordered the DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 240EX and just realized that there may be problems with the cooler tubes. There have been many reviews that said that their tubes on their cooler broke and spilled the liquid inside of their system. So I am a little worried about using that AIO. So I am planning on returning it and getting a better quality one. Any thoughts for good quality 250mm AIO cooler? I was looking at the Corsair Hydro Series H100i https://www.newegg.ca/p/N82E16835181141?Item=N82E16835181141&nm_mc=AFC-RAN-CAN&cm_mmc=AFC-RAN-CAN&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=afc-PCPartPicker&AFFID=2558510&AFFNAME=PCPartPicker&ACRID=1&ASID=https%3a%2f%2fca.pcpartpicker.com%2fproduct%2fhmBTwP%2fcorsair-h100i-pro-750-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-cw-9060033-ww&ranMID=44589&ranEAID=2558510&ranSiteID=8BacdVP0GFs-OMWw17O15mjCBqZ5DJMJPQ. I have had Corsair AIO cooler for 2 years now in my older build and have had no problems with it. Thanks for your suggestions and help! 3 Display ports, 1 HDMI port | Whats what?

Both my monitors have HDMI ports. So go with HDMI to Displayport instead?

3 Display ports, 1 HDMI port | Whats what?

So something like this shouldn't be a problem? https://www.newegg.ca/tripp-lite-p134-000-displayport-to-dvi/p/N82E16812120613

3 Display ports, 1 HDMI port | Whats what?

So I could use a DVI-D to HDMI, for one monitor, and then an HDMI/DVI-D to DisplayPort for another monitor? And I don't currently have any Displayport cords, but should I get full cords from HDMI/DVI-D to Displayport, or should I get the adapter?
  6. Hi all; So I am using the Lian-Li dynamic as my case for a new build. I was planning to use a 240mm rad at the top as exhaust than I was going to use 2 120mm fans on both the side and the bottom as intake. The case can hold 9 120mm fans. 3 at the top, bottom, and side. Does that setup for fans seem like it would have decent air flow? Should I utilize all of the fan space? Another setup I was thinking of using is, putting the 240mm rad at the top as exhaust, then put a 120mm beside it as well, also as exhaust. Than 2 120mm fans on the side and bottom as intake. Thoughts? Thanks for your suggestions!

Air flow for the Lian-Li dynamic case

So if I am using a 240mm rad on the top I would just need to add another 120mm beside it and then put the 3 120mm fans on the side or bottom?
  8. The problem is, that, I have read people reviews and some say that their cooler broke and such, others have said that it has worked completely fine. With customer service, some say they are not very good in terms of the warranty yet others have said that DeepCool was very easy to work with.

I plan on using the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans https://www.newegg.ca/noctua-chromax-black-swap-case-fan/p/1YF-000T-000D8?Item=9SIAB986J14109 I was going to place 2 on the side, 2 on the bottom as intake.

    AIO cooler concerns

Good to know! Unless one of the tubes break, then, you have a bit more of a problem. but hopefully, it won't come to that.
  11. Hi all! So I just ordered parts to build my new PC, and chose to go with the Deepcool - CAPTAIN 240EX RGB AIO CPU cooler. Though just recently I was reading some of the reviews that said that the tubing broke and the liquid came out and damged their PC. Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I get another cooler? Thanks for your input!

    AIO cooler concerns

I think I am going to give it a try. I think it is good looking AIO and I think it performs well as well. So if anything happens then I think I will switch over to Corsair.

    AIO cooler concerns

I like the green scheme. I have never used a deepcool brand AIO, so I am just a little concerned, especially with some of the reviews saying that their AIO's tubes broke. Doesn't mean that DeepCool is a bad AIO brand, just something I am considering,

    AIO cooler concerns

So I guess I would be taking somewhat of a gamble if I use the deepcool brand over a brand that uses Asetek.

    AIO cooler concerns

    Oh really? No problems?

    AIO cooler concerns

So are brands like Corsair, EVGA, and Thermaltake, in regards to AIO's, generally more reliable than brands like Enermax and deepcool who don't buy Asetek? I totally agree with you, I think the majority of people who buy AIO's have no problems with them, but you often times don't hear about people's positive experiences on them, only the negative ones. At least some of the time.
  17. One of the main reasons that I wanted to get an AIO, is because I thought I read that the Lian-Li dynamic was best for water cooling. But if an air CPU cooler would work just as well, I am open to that option.

    AIO cooler concerns

I mean I am not in the business of overclocking myself. So I am right now in a limbo of what cooler I should get. I like the AIO coolers and was originally looking at ones like the Fractal Design - Celsius and the Corsair Hydro Series H100i PRO. But I also am looking at air coolers such as the be quiet! PURE ROCK SLIM CPU Cooler but I am not sure if air coolers are the best for the Lian-Li dynamic case. So I am sort of stuck decided on what cooler to use.
  19. Out of curiosity if you used a 240mm AIO for the O11 dynamic how did you configure your case fans? Same for a 360mm. I was talking with someone, and they suggested if I used a 240mm to put it at the top as an exhaust, then 2 120mm fans on both the side and the bottom as intake.
  20. The NH-D15 and the bequit! Dark Rock Pro 4 from what I can tell, (based on the specs of the case) cannot fit inside the Lian-Li dynamic. They may fit the in the Lian-Li air version I am not completely sure. Thanks for the information and the article, I will take a read.

I mean I really like the Lian-li case, I just have to figure some cooling stuff out.

    CPU Air cooler suggestion

Hi all! So I am currently putting together a new PC. For the CPU cooler, I ordered the DEEPCOOL Gamer Storm CAPTAIN 240EX RGB AIO CPU cooler. To my dismay, I realized that many of the reviews were customers that had their cooler tubes break and spill inside their PC. I could use this AIO cooler and have no problems, but I feel like the tubes breaking is an issue that shouldn't be ignored. I have had the CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H75 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler for 2 years now in my old build and have had zero problems with it. I am not sure if I should return the DeepCool cooler and get a better quality one, or return it and get an air cooler. I feel like I am leaning towards the air CPU cooling, and hence why I am in the "Air cooling" section. So if you guys have any thoughts about all of this and any suggestions for CPU air coolers let me know! CPU Air cooler suggestion

I could just cut a little opening in the side so it would fit. Yeah, I think that's a good idea. I am going to use the stock cooler and see what cooler would work best.
