  1. Other than the cooler, any other thoughts on the build? I know I originally wanted to us the Lian-Li case, but, thinking about others.
  2. But what if I don't want to save $120? It gets pretty warm where I live, so I think it would be nice to have a little more, cooling power for the CPU, in warmer temperatures.
  3. Hmmm, that sounds nice. Ha. I think that may be the new GPU that goes into my build. ~$50.00 cheaper than the XT, which has a bad cooling system, and performs equally to the 2060 super. Sounds like a deal. So here's the build with the non-XT version; PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $263.99 @ PC-Canada CPU Cooler Deepcool - CAPTAIN 240EX RGB 153.04 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $123.70 @ Amazon Canada Motherboard Gigabyte - X570 GAMING X ATX AM4 Motherboard $229.00 @ Amazon Canada Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $116.99 @ Newegg Canada Storage Intel - 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $129.94 @ Mike's Computer Shop Video Card XFX - Radeon RX 5700 8 GB Video Card $454.99 @ Newegg Canada Case Lian-Li - PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full Tower Case $189.99 @ Newegg Canada Power Supply Corsair - TXM Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $94.99 @ Canada Computers Case Fan be quiet! - Pure Wings 2 120 51.4 CFM 120 mm Fan $14.50 @ Newegg Canada Marketplace Case Fan Corsair - LL120RGB LED (Three Fans With Lighting Node PRO) 43.25 CFM 120 mm Fans $141.99 @ Powertop Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1780.08 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $1760.08 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-07-10 12:43 EDT-0400
  4. That is a possibility. The non-XT version has a good amount of power in it, especially if you compare it to the GTX 1060 6GB I have in my system. Why would the non-XT version be better temps wise? Doesn't it use the same cooling system?
  5. Yea that's what I was planning to do. Just sucks people have to wait another month or so for the card.
  6. Man if that's the case, that sucks.
  7. I will take a look at those mobo's. Thanks I was planning on waiting for a better cooling system for the XT, and than build my system all at once.
  8. Sounds good. I will hold off on the other parts until either the price drops or just until the GPU I am looking for is available. Thanks for your help and suggestions!
  9. Yeah, the case is, well, the case. But the other two parts, with the sale, are worth getting?
  10. Well on NewEgg (Canada) right now the SDD, case, and AIO in my build are on sale right now. 11. Yeah, that's kind of what I am feeling. I want to order the parts but, probably better and wait till the GPU is available, and than gather all of the parts at once.
  12. Sounds like a plan. Though I did notice some parts like the AIO, PSU, and the SSD are on sale on sites like NewEgg, would it be wise to nab those parts?
  13. true, true. But there wouldn't be any problems/issues if I got some of the parts in the next week or so? Like its ok for them just to sit on my shelf for like a month?
  14. Hello: I am building a new gaming system, and am planning on using the new 5700 XT. But I do not want to get the blower edition and in-tern going to wait till a better cooling system for it comes out (some sources say middle of August). Though I am wondering whether I should order the rest of the parts for my build now, then order the GPU when it comes out (which could be in a month or more) or order all the parts at once, when the GPU comes out. My build; PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $260.99 @ PC-Canada CPU Cooler Deepcool - CAPTAIN 240EX RGB 153.04 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $109.88 @ Canada Computers Motherboard Gigabyte - X570 GAMING X ATX AM4 Motherboard $229.00 @ Canada Computers Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $116.99 @ Newegg Canada Storage Intel - 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $129.94 @ Mike's Computer Shop Video Card XFX - Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Video Card $519.99 @ Newegg Canada Case Lian-Li - PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full Tower Case $189.99 @ Newegg Canada Power Supply Corsair - TXM Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $94.99 @ Canada Computers Case Fan be quiet! - Pure Wings 2 120 51.4 CFM 120 mm Fan $14.50 @ Newegg Canada Marketplace Case Fan Corsair - LL120RGB LED (Three Fans With Lighting Node PRO) 43.25 CFM 120 mm Fans $141.99 @ Powertop Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $1828.26 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $1808.26 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-07-10 00:29 EDT-0400
  15. Thanks for the info. I think I will wait until a better model of the XT comes out.
  16. Would the custom model of the XT cost more than the original one?
  17. Yep. Like I really like the XT, but based on the reviews for the temperatures, I think I am just going to hold off until the cooling system is improved. The rest of my build will be waiting for the final piece.
  18. I think it's not a very good move from AMD. People who want to upgrade may want the XT, but because of the blower system, they will probably just get a super instead. Though, some will wait the month and a bit to get the XT with a proper cooling system.
  19. Ha.It kind of sucks that people have to wait another month to get the XT with a proper cooling system. I think it is a great value card, that's the reason I want to put it in my new build. Its unfortunate that AMD decided to use the blower style cooling system.
  20. So if I want to get a GPU right now, order a 2060 super. If I want the XT, wait till a custom model comes out.
  21. Hi all So I am currently making a new gaming system, which includes the new AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. For the GPU, I am not 100% sure. I have read a few articles comparing the new 2060, and 2070 supers to the RX 5700 and the RX 5700 XT. It seems like the RX 5700 XT (the one that I was planning on using) is overall better than the 2060 super, which is ~$100.00 CAD more than the XT. The 2070 super seems to perform better than the XT, though it is ~$200.00 CAD more. And in terms of performance (FPS) I am taking a large stroke here. It seems to me that the XT is a better value than the 2060, and 2070 super, though, I have begun to read the people are not very impressed with the blower system on the XT. Even reviews comparing the temperature between the 2070 super and the XT shows the difference in cooling performance (under high loads). Now I am not planning to play on the highest possible settings on big name games like Battle Field, but I am planning to use high settings on bigger games. So my question is, should I be concerned about the cooling performance of the XT? Is it that concerning that I should consider one of the supers? Or wait till the middle of August? Any thoughts and suggestions would be great! 22. 3 side intakes seems good. Thanks! I just prefer AIO over an air CPU cooler, just my preference.
  23. I re-posted this in the fan section. I didn't think this was a question for this section of the forum. :D
  24. Hi all So I am building a new gaming system with the Lian-Li case, but I am not sure how I should approach the fan situation, what would be the most optimal fan configuration on this case?
