Coil whine isn't damaging or any indication of damage, just annoying. It's nothing to worry about.

Seeing as its is a high qualityn highly rated 80plus gold psu, I would say no. Coil whine is normal in many electronics including PSUs Graphics Cards, and the iphone 7 lol.

    Hey guys,
I have got a Bitfenix 650W Whisper M PSU which is unbearable when idle due to the coil whine. But when the fans spin up/ under load, there is no coil whine. It is under load 24x7 because it is in a mining rig. Is the coil whine something to worry about or is it normal?
    Thank you

Nope, not at this time... shield k1 is still the best IMO. There is a kickstarter for a pad that is basically a wireless display that you can connect to your existing phones etc, so the connected device is the one that runs the games etc and you just have that as a 10" display, price on kickstarter is around $99, but at the moment only plans left are for 3+ I believe.

    Looks pretty good IMO.

Is it a used board? Did they post it with the BIOS version in the description? If they did not in my personal experience its never a good idea to trust the retailer with matters such as these. I recommend you find another board or a different processor.

Yatin reacted to ATFink in Thoughts on this Motherboard?
As long as the board you receive has an updated BIOS you'll be good. Otherwise you'll need a skylake CPU to update the motherboard's BIOS to be compatible with kabylake CPUs.

It's also dumb to put two GPUs in SLI/Crossfire that aren't very good and deal with a load of Crossfire or SLI issues and see a marginal performance increase when a single 1070 would be a much better buy.

Yes, for XFire 460's and an i5-7400 500W is sufficient, I would not go for less though

Yeah because everyone has unlimited budget...

hint: if someone is considering $55-70 cpu and low end i5, he probably has a limited budget.

Getting Pentium G3258 is still better than getting an i5 and having to spend less on GPU.  It holds its own(or is better) in the vast majority of games.

can't go wrong with any of the two. Take a look at the features, then decide which ones suit your needs the best. Color can also be an argument, I've heard people complaining about the black-gold ASUS motherboards.

Ok.. I couldnt fit the monitor you wanted but in build you made 144Hz monitor makes no sense since you wont be able to push such framerates. With my build 144Hz monitor makes sense but it will get more expensive. The thing that holds me back with price is miniITX form factor... by about $100 so if you decide to go ATX you can have 144Hz monitor and these specs.
Also there is HDD missing in your build so that will add up price.

also try reading on bitfenix site about the case..

Q: What's the radiator clearance of Prodigy?
Top Radiator thickness (incl. fans) = 175mm
Front Radiator thickness (incl. fans, HDD & ODD cage removed) = 150mm

It won't be a good idea, better just get an intake on the front and then let the CPU cooler exhaust.
