Wait for ampere to actually launch and check it's power consumption first.

SlimShady99 got a reaction from WereCat in Crazy Amazon price for R9 3900X
Should I keep this ryzen 9 3900x for 324€ or resell higher easily and wait for Ryzen 4000? I was thinking on getting the r5 4600 (I have r5 3600)

That's what I thought, I'm starting to use my pc for more than gaming currently but even so, 12 cores Is overkill xD. Still, I think I'm gonna keep It, at least until I get a good offer on Ryzen 4000.

I have the same monitor (except mine is only 75Hz), and I would also highly recommend it. Very good bang-for-the-buck 1440p IPS monitor, high refresh rate and very low input lag. Plus it's a freesync monitor and gysnc seems to work well on it. Only problem is the stand is shit but that can be solved with any decent monitor stand from amazon.
I would say definitely go for IPS or VA if you can, the improved picture quality is worth it.

Nobody can truly tell you what the safe overclocked voltage of Zen 2 is, but from everything I've heard thus far running your processor @ 1.4 Volts is a sure way to degrade if not kill it outright, quickly. I'd personally recommend lowering that, to what I don't know, but I know 1.4 Volts for an all core overclock on Zen 2 is definitely not recommended by anyone. AMD themselves haven't given a safe voltage to stick to, and in fact they say if you want to be safe to run the processor at stock. So, that's what I'd do.

That is strange indeed. I have 2 NVMe's and they're both 1TB and 500GB 970 Evo Plus and I get full speeds out of both. I am even running SLI too so something's up here. Change the slot if you have another one and lets see whats up.

This
I literally built my friend's PC a few hours ago, and I found out he had the M.2 in the second slot, which (-after reading the manual and being careful-) that the slot is M.2 SATA (not NVMe) and it shares bandwidth with other SATA drives

The board has two m.2 slots and I bet you plugged it in the slower one (x2).

SlimShady99 reacted to trevb0t in Help with RAMs!
The Vengeance is pretty nice RAM. You can honestly go to the manufacturer website on your motherboard, search your model, and pull up all of the RAM specs on the board. It will tell you exactly what is supported with your MOBO/CPU combo and at what speeds.
Really though the big trusted brands between 2400-3200 are going to be fine. As I'm sure you've read, 3000-3200 is the sweet spot.
If you're not taking a loss, do it up!
You could also look at G. Skill Ripjaws and Crucial Ballistix (both of which are at very nice U.S. prices. Can't speak to an outside market.
