  1. I'm not planning to go I to Law Enforcement, planning more on consumer/commercial employment. I'm not too sure exactly what classes will be taking because I'm finishing up my associates in General Transfer Studies now. Right now what I would imagine is running one or two VMs of different Linux Kernels along with your basic school stuff. Gonna be doing all of my classes online.
  2. I have seen a handful of people saying not to go for a Mac book in a situation like this because of the VMs I would be running on the computer for classes. If I were to look into a MacBook is there a specific model that could cover me and not break the bank?
  3. I am currently finishing up my general transfer studies associates and plan on going into a Bachelor's program for Cyber security. I have a pretty decent tower build, but I'm working full time along side going to school so I need a laptop that can come with me. I'm not to sure what I would need spec-wise for a laptop that will do what I need it to for Cyber security and for basic school stuff. I won't be playing games on it, that's what my tower PC if for.
  4. I wouldnt have any issue buying used, I don't know of a reputable place around here to buy used components. Also that is! I haven't posted one forum in probably 10 years so I made sure to not let myself look like a fool.
  5. I'm looking to build my first ever PC! The putting parts together isn't an issue for me (I've watched a TON of videos on it.) I'm lacking the knowledge on pretty much every aspect of the process of picking out parts. I'm looking to game on a few titles like Overwatch, maybe some other mainstream titles, and WoW Classic when it eventually comes out. I'm not trying to play games on ultra or crazy settings. I'm just looking to be able to play at a good fps in a medium/medium high setting. I live right outside of St. Louis MO and I don't have any peripherals picked out at the moment. My budget I'm looking at is in like the $600-700 USD range with intentions to upgrade in the future. Any and all tips or recommendations are welcome! If my price point is too crazy low for what I'm looking for, I'll obviously have to adjust my budget. Peripherals aren't included in my budget I'll just have to buy them as I go but any recommendations on a specific monitor or keyboard/mouse would be awesome. I'm not looking for a 144hz monitor or anything crazy like that 1080p is fine with me.
