  1. CPU_1 = CPU Fan_1 ? I plugged it into that. and the bold one, where is the location to set? in software? My motherboard is Asrock Z170 Pro4 and i can't find CPU_Pump header in it. here is the layout of my motherboard https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170 Pro4/index.us.asp
  2. 9600k is $3 more expensive here. I'm quite surprised that the price difference is small, i thought it's more than $10. So, you suggest me to take 9600K since the price difference isnt that big?
  3. oh the case is the same like skylake and kabylake? skylake need to update the bios in order to use kaby processor. So i better get Z370 then? since i read on another thread that 8600k and 9600k not that much different in performance
  4. @Jurrunio jurrunio, may I ask for advice. If i want to upgrade my CPU to i5 8600K, what motherboard series should i get? I don't know the difference between Z270, Z370 and Z390. Can that cpu use all those motherboards?
  5. if i plug in to the wrong connector, it will error all the time right? but it rarely happens. My motherboard is Z170 Pro4 and i plugged into the CPU Fan_1 And my motherboard doesn't have cpu pump header written on it. So i don't get it which one is cpu pump header. or maybe it has different name?
  6. After looking back at your comments. Well, I think, I should skip P95, I won't torture my CPU again for the sake of 0 error. I already tortured my CPU for 8hrs straight by using custom x264 made by OC forum. It didn't crash or even stopped the program at 4.7GHz on 1.34V XMP On And my friend also told me "if you don't crash or the program stop during your stability test, ur CPU is already stable. In daily use, you won't use that much power in gaming or rendering like Prime95 did." VCCSA and VCCIO both Auto. FCLLK 800. I leave it default. I only use this profile (4.7GHz @1.34V) when I meet CPU-Bound game otherwise I'll stay at stock speed. ---------------------- Just finished benchmarking. Fire Strike = 15020 (I got 13901 at stock speed) Time Spy = 6750 (I got 6414 at stock speed) Cinebench R20 = 1509 Pretty satisfied with the performance increase. ---------------------- Sneak peak my PC Setup Btw thanks a lot for helping me till now brother. ?
  7. @Jurrunio Just finished stress testing with x264 for 8 hours and didnt crash or program stopped. 4.7GHz @1.340V ------ Btw like this? Cpu cache ratio from auto > 42 Min. cpu cache ratio from auto > 42 Reason for edit: had done the tests. I started at 42 > 41 > 40 > 39. And all failed (1 error) to pass P95 (Blend Test) 1 core stopped working. While waiting your advice, I changed the cache back to Auto. Retested with xmp off, cache auto and failed. (1 error) How come with xmp off i got 1 error in 3mins? I didn't get an error when i test it for the first time @4.7GHz on 1.340V. The culprit is always the same, core number #2 Whats wrong with my lovely 6600K? ???
  8. okay ? Oh uncore. It's available at HWInfo. In the pic above, the uncore is x39. So in BIOS i change the min and max cache ratio the same, right? Start at 39 or 42? in my current state. Oh, when it's the same like core voltage, It means when I get hardware failure and 1 error on P95 then. Wew, I always use blend test from the beginning until now. Did I choose the wrong option? It should be small FFT? ohmy ?
  9. Where can i see it? I'm stressing my CPU now with custom x264 from OC forum. And I'm using HWInfo to monitor the temp. It's more complete than CPUID HWMonitor but I can't find cache ratio there or probably it has different name? I took a photo just in case you can find it. My xmp profile is currently on, Do I need to set it back to default first? How do we know if the voltage of the cache unsafe? stress it with P95 again until shows error / hardware failure like I did with 4.8GHz?
  10. Hoo i see Now Im sitting at 4.7 @1.34v What number should I put on cache ratio? I read in overclock forum that If I follow that guide, it means I set it to 47? Don't you think it's too high? ? And the bold one, multiplier here refers to cache ratio or normal core ratio? ------------------ Regarding to XMP profile, I just need to load the profile and save it, right?
  11. 4.7GHz @1.340v LLC L3 Idle 1.328V Full Load = 1.312v Aida64 Full Load = 1.280v Prime95 Full Load = 1.296v ~ 1.312v Cinebench R20 What do you think? Is that result good enough? I give up on 4.8GHz, I can't even pass Prime95 in 10mins with 1.43v. After 4K test, I always fail a few mins after that. (around 8mins). The weird thing about my CPU is, I never crash even on 1.43v. ?
  12. @Jurrunio sir, i almost hit 1.4v. You said LLC3 is harmful when I attempt on 1.4v I'm near 1.4v, should I change to LLC1 or stick to LLC3?
  13. My goal is to have 1.35v at 4.8GHz. If i can't reach it, i will go back 4.6. Going back to OC again. Wish me luck ! Oyeahh ?
  14. i just bought Corsair H100i Platinum RGB. It suddenly runs faster, Idk whether the sound of the fan or the pump and slow again and run faster again. And it slowly back to normal ? And the RGB head is off for about a sec or 2secs when that happen and turn on again in default RGB state and back to my lighting set. I took a SS in iCue when it happened. is my AIO broken? Not even a week.
  15. Right now I'm sitting at 4.60GHz on 1.290v I won't do it higher than 1.35v, should I push it more? 4.70GHz on 1.33v maybe? Well, it published in 2015. You probably right. He left the cache Auto like mine. If we have the same setting and different result, can i say i have a better 6600k then? The OC thread in my forum like a graveyard, no one replies. Thats why I move outside to seek for a help Oh Geez.
