  1. It is a good deal, especially for the price.
  2. I'm going to be a computer science major in the fall so I need a quad core and 16gb+ of ram, but I also need something that is light and portable for classes and such. I don't really want to go over 14.5 inch laptops because of backpacks and portability. Thanks for your help!
  3. 8. Shitty old E Machine laptop thingie that let me check email and a few old games. It was a good start, I was always hooked on computer
  4. Ether people have blowen this out of proportion or like we're all very confused. if you just want to host for a few friends don't even worry about it. Honestly just start working with Spigot (new bukkit) and learn from there. Don't over think this too much. Host for a few friends. Learn and understand Spigot and plugins and Minecraft Server Community then start hosting.
  5. I agree. No need to hate on him. HAHA. Sorry, I hate all Canadian ISPs but yeah. Good job on Buissness though.
  6. Where do you live? Toronto, in the city would probably be okay but it is a freeking b**** to setup. I live in Boston, it's an extra $150 for just one IP and slightly better service. I don't know where OP lives but it would probably not be fun to set up. What's your ISP?
  7. Hi, I've done Minecraft hosting (for myself and friends not on large scale or anything crazy) for 4 years now, and honestly your internet is shit. Your specs look okay but you might want to do some research on how other major hosts do it. You'll also be competing with all of those hosts so unless your price is like $3/mo with better internet among many other things I wish you luck dude. Do what the post above me by DanTheMuffinMan said. Experience is key with this stuff. Host your own MC server for a while and then try and get stuff moving. P.S. Your ISP won't like you running a business from your home connection. My guess is that you have Comcast/Xfinity. You would need to upgrade to Business Class (Lost more money) and get multiple IPs (more money). But, I still wish you luck with this adventure. It's not bad for a 15 year old honestly. I wish I had this stuff like 4 years ago when I started my Minecraft hosting endeavor.
  8. Would something web based make more sense for you? If you want something web based you'll need HTML and CSS (very easy and no real "programing"). You'll probably end up doing the real programing & back end in PhP and use MySQL to store the data. If you try and use google a little bit you can find a lot of help for things like that. if you need some more, I'm better on email and Skype. PM me if you need more help.
  9. I don't care if it's a bad idea I just want to do it. That's a huge case. Will defiantly look into, thanks! Sorry, didn't get all the lingo links or better explications please.
  10. Hi, I know I'd probably have to end up making my own modded case but I was wondering if there was any cases that could support like 8 mother boards and all that jazz so that it would be easy to host a really big LAN party and just have everything on one cooling system that is not as extreme as the whole house thing Linus loves to brag about Thanks, FRED
  11. I can get console out to anything, trust me. Turtle Beach has taught me that. How could this be bad for you headphones? Listen to any music? They usually have 5 different loops or recordings of music (take a look at any music software, loops get layers on top of each other for the desired effect). I can see no reason for this to be bad for your headphones (and truth be told, I would not care ).
  12. Hi, While I'm an avid PC gamer, GTA V and Halo are still not available for PC so I have an Xbox 360. But I'd rather listen to Skype and Pandora from my computer but still want to hear the game's audio as well. Is there any way I can have multiple inputs then one/two outs? Like a sound board.
