  1. Thanks for all of the help you two! Just updating that I got my self a third series Ryzen 5 Processor and a 2070 Super in the end, along with a new 1TB SSD and HDD. Very informative community and appreciative that everybody was able take the time to share their thoughts.
  2. Thanks for all of the help everyone!! Just updating that I got my self a third series Ryzen 5 Processor and a 2070 Super in the end, along with a new 1TB SSD and HDD. Very informative community and appreciative that everybody was able take the time to share their thoughts.
  3. Yeah the 3100 does seem to be the smarter option if I'm going to upgrade it anyway, but glad to hear your thought on the matter! You've definitely gave me a better perspective to view these with. Hopefully I can make a decision on the which Ryzen I'll get and then look further int GPUs later.
  4. It's bonkers to think that chips these prices are faster than an i7 from only a few years ago, but super helpful I can't thank you enough. I'll keep looking at video cards and hopefully make a better informed decision on those later in the week through further comparisons
  5. Ok that's awesome to hear, thanks alot! It seems like you went with the R7 2700, which just seems a bit too much out of pocket tat the moment for myself, but you really think the 5 2600 or 3 3100/3300x would be a strong upgrade alongside the GPU?
  6. Ok I definitely see what you are saying. If I may, what would your thought process be around upgrading the CPU to something like a Ryzen 3 3100/3300x, or Ryzen 5 2600 from my current i5 6600k? Do you think it would be a good decision to get one of these chips would pose a better upgrade in my PC alongside one of those newer GPUs?
  7. So I've been looking to upgrade my video card from a 4GB RX 480 to an RX 5700 XT/Non-XT or the GTX 2060/2060S/2070. But when I've been hearing second opinions with my current build many people have now said I should look to upgrade my old CPU (i5 6600k) as well. Would something like the Ryzen 3 3100 or the Ryzen 5 2600 give me much better paired performance with these newer graphics cards? I haven't really kept myself posted over the past 2 years with much hardware so seeing the low price of a Ryzen 3 3100 and it said to be better than the i5 6600k is definitely a shock, but if it's true I'd definitely upgrade. Thanks in advance and I'll stay posted if you have any questions for me or need further clarification!
  8. Would a Ryzen 3 3100 really be an upgrade in performance over the i5 6600k with that GPU? Also if that is the case, what about a Ryzen 5 2600 alongside a GTX 2060/2060S or 5700 (non XT)?
  9. Looking to upgrade my Graphics Card and my storage units in my current PC, and with the limited budget I have set the 5700 XT seems to be the strongest card while I am also grabbing a 1TB SSD and a 1TB HDD. Just want to hear a second if anyone has made similar upgrades or has thoughts about the card itself. My current setup is an i5 6600k, Sapphire Nitro Plus 4GB RX 480, 1TB HDD, 128GB SSD, MSI B250m Bazooka (I have no plans to overclock and it has been good since I purchased last year), 650W Gold power supply, 16GB Ram Then, for the updated setup I will be ideally adding the Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT 8GB, and using my 2 older drives drives for a seperate project, and installing windows on the SSD. Just wanted to hear any thoughts on the matter because I don't have amany people around me knowledgeable on these subjects besides myself, thanks alot! P.S. if curious my budget for upgrades is about 900 CAD and the 2 drives, GPU and a new Cooler for my CPU came out to that pretty much.
  10. Ok awesome. The weight of my current moucs is almost the same as that of the G900, and I really like the weight, so that's all good then. Thanks for the feedback!
  11. Hi, I'm just wondering if someone could give me a little opinion on a rather unorthodox question I have. I am looking to upgrade my current mouse from the Gigabyte XM300 to either the SteelSeries Rival 310 or the Logitech G900. Usually, the price would be able to tell apart, but I am able to get the G900 new for around $90, where as the SteelSeries Rival is around $70. Price isn't too much of a concern here, I've held both mice and like the fact I can pick them up easily, and comfortably. But I have no experience with either while gaming, so I can't really tell. I just also haven't pulled the trigger on the Logitech because of the wireless aspect, is it really that good? It is the G900 and not the G903 so I don't know how much worse or better either one is, if much difference besides the powerplay which i'm, not interested in. I like to play FPS games and MOBA's at high skill levels, so the lag wouldn't be ideal if there is any. Sorry if this is an often asked question or just really out of the blue, but both these mice seem great and I just can't decide due to my inexperience. Thanks in advance.
