  1. 3600x is what I'm looking at right now, and I dont have a gen 2 cpu to update an old bios so I'm looking at the newer generation of mobos. Preferably one with wifi as this is a build with LANs in mind.
  2. @Zando Bob The reason I'm looking at the NH-L12 vs NH-L12S is the original is 4mm shorter and that allows it to fit in my case. I'm more concerned with vrm heatsink height that would block the radiator. I will have low profile ram so I shouldn't have an issue there.
  3. Are there any AM4 itx motherboards compatible with the NH-L12? (Not NH-L12S) Preferably one that has wifi/bluetooth. Thanks in advance!
  4. I am torn between these two laptops, more specifically the 2060 version. Both have the same processor, gpu, ram, SSD space etc.. etc.. Are their any reasons I should prefer one over the other? As a side note I do like both of their aesthetics.
  5. I think that the photo accurately represents the level of illumination, the real problem is the bottom left corner, it seems to constantly have a "glow" around the area highlighted by the photo. Assuming that this photo is accurate would you consider this a bad example of IPS glow or backlight bleed?
  6. I have attached a couple of photos of my new LG34GK950F-B and would like some opinions on whether or not I should return this monitor for a new one. Is getting an IPS monitor with less IPS glow likely or is this standard? Also I used the video from https://www.displayninja.com/backlight-bleed-test/ for the test video if that matters at all. Thanks in advance!
  7. I have attached a couple of photos of my new LG34GK950F-B and would like some opinions on whether or not I should return this monitor for a new one? Is the IPS Glow/BLB on this particular model considered below par? Also I used the video from https://www.displayninja.com/backlight-bleed-test/ for the test video if that matters at all. Thanks in advance!
  8. I'm wanting to do custom order the exact cables that I will need for my system but am still somewhat of a beginner builder and am not entirely sure what I need. It looks like I need 2x6 pin cords for my CPU, 2x8 pin connector and 1x6 connector for my gpu, the 24pin connector for my motherboard and maybe a sata cable for my H150i pro? Any advice in this regard would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! 9. I was actually wondering about that, as I saw there were kits with varying sizes I've only ever used a 2x8 configuration so I wasn't sure if I could plop in the same ram without issue.
  10. I'm building a new PC and I plan on using the Lian-Li O11 Dynamic for my case. I will use an AIO for my cpu and a 2080Ti founders edition for my graphics card. What kind of thermals could I expect to get if I went all out on fans? I do want to use the Corsair LL RGB fans as I think they'll look amazing in the O11-Dyanmic. Any advice on my build would be appreciated as well, this is my first big budget build and I'd like everything to go as smoothly as possible. The full build is as follows: CPU: Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($529.89 @ B&H) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H115i PRO 55.4 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($109.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 AORUS MASTER ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($289.89 @ OutletPC) Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($129.99 @ Newegg Business) Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($129.99 @ Newegg Business) Storage: Western Digital - Blue 2 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($259.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: NVIDIA - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB Founders Edition Video Card Case: Lian-Li - PC-O11 Dynamic (Black) ATX Full Tower Case ($142.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($144.99 @ Amazon) Total: $1737.71
  11. I've read that you can't update the bios on the founders cards, and that it draws the least amount of power which can lead to worse overclocks? Also, does the founders edition count as a decent cooler or are you just considering aftermarket cards?
  12. I'm looking to purchase a 2080 Ti and I'm not certain which one I should go for. The founders edition from Nvidia is at least 200 bucks cheaper than the custom PCB ones. MSI gaming trio, asus rog strix, and the evga ftw 3 ultra. Are there any significant differences between these cards? Or is it simply down to the silicon lottery and which aesthetic you like?
  13. Hmmm based on this information should I try and buy a 360mm and just put some high quality noctua or be quiet fans on it to achieve the best results?
  14. I plan on using these parts and I'm looking for an AIO that should be able to efficiently cool the i9-9900k with a conservative overclock. I don't plan on pushing this thing to the bleeding edge but I plan on doing some slight overclocking. I don't have a preference when it comes to RGB fans or pumps or anything like that either. I've done a small amount of research and I can't seem to find a clear winner on an AIO that will keep this thing frosty. Also, I am specifically looking for an AIO. CPU: Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($529.89 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 AORUS MASTER ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($289.89 @ OutletPC)
  15. Do you think this monitor will suffer from input lag? I play quite a bit of FPS games. I'm not like a pro gamer or anything but I want a monitor that can cover all my bases.
