  1. I had a similar problem, make sure only one monitor is plugged in if running multi monitor? I had a problem where it didnt know what monitor to show the image because I didnt configure the main screen
  2. I figured it might be in the wrong place, I'll copy paste it somewhere, but I literally cannot update or install ANYTHING
  3. I just recently reformatted my computer and added a new gpu, and since then nothing will install correctly. For example the first picture I attached is trying to install bf4 beta and it being stuck at %20 installed, it's been like that for 30mins now.. Not only is it not installing anything, but it's also not shutting down or anything, I never had this problem before. could it be my ssd? (Samsung 840 120gb) It seems like it just doesnt want to do anything it's mean't to do. Also I couldn't install any of my motherboard drivers so I used the disk and that seemed to work but now when I boot up it shows me the windows driver installation screen (2nd picture) and it's been sitting there as well for quite a long time showing failures. I'm getting real tired of this so if anyone could lend me a hand with this, it would be great
  4. AMD needs an 8 core processor to match or slightly surpass the performance of a quad/six core Intel? Does this, in the end, make Intel have the more powerful hardware? I mean, what if there was an 8 Core intel prosessor (Besides Xeon) that ha the same bus speeds, multipliers and gaming potential as the 8 core amd processors? Of course there's the expensive as hell Xeon processors but I'm not too sure of their gaming potentiality considering they are made for servers/workstations. I'm talking about a consumer affordable potentially gaming processor with 8 cores by intel? Discuss? :P
  5. I use a Thermaltake Frio ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106150 ) And that makes my i7 2600k nice and cool even on a 4.6GHz overclock on 1.34 Volts :P Definitely a good choice if you wanna go air cooling
  6. Could someone help me out in finding a motherboard that supports dual x16 on the pci-e 3.0 slots? I know that there's this one ( http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131822 ) But I was wondering if there was a cheaper one or if there are different colour schemes :P Thanks
  7. I chose NVIDIA over AMD because when I was browsing computer parts for my build I curiosly watched a video on which of the two brands were better (This was during the GTX 500/HD 6000 generation). From the video it said that AMD cards had faster video encoding for faster render speeds for videos, but NVIDIA had better gaming performance, at the time I kind of made small videos but I was more of a gamer, since I was in semi-pro call of duty 4 leagues at the time, so I decided to go for my ASUS DCU2 GTX 570. And as said by someone above, the drivers were much more stable so that was a big bonus for me :D
  8. I'm building a new pc in a Blackhawk ultra case by Rosewill and I'm baffled on how to remove the 5.25" bay covers. I have absolutely no idea, I got it un-clipped from the inside but after that, it just sinks in about 1cm then it doesn't go anywhere. If anyone can send me to a video of someone removing the panel or explain how it's done, it would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you in advance to anyone who helps :)
  9. I don't really need a good motherboard, I just want one that supports ddr3 so I can have faster dimms, and the one I looked at has dual channel which is enough for the 4gb's that I want to put in. This computer is just a server computer that needs a ram upgrade really :P
  10. So I picked up an old pc a week or two ago at the recycling depot I work at, and I want to replace the motherboard in it with a new one. Upon doing this, will I come into any problems with old motherboard drivers and being able to boot into windows with the new motherboard before installing the new one's drivers? I'm looking for a new motherboard to have DDR3 memory instead of the motherboard it has now which is DDR2. It has an AM3 socket processor, AMD Athlon x2 250 @3GHz, and the new motherboard I'm looking at is AM3+ so I'm wondering if because the processor is AM3, will it still operate in the motherboard? Thank you for your help in advance :) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130241 ^^My current Motherboard. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103681 ^^ My processor. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157309 ^^New motherboard I'm looking at.
  11. I'm thinking of building a media pc for my parents one day and I'm looking to have the price/performance pretty well locked in, and I've noticed that AMD processors are pretty cheap for the amount of power they behold, so if someone could help me out with the cpu and motherboard matching, that would be great :P Basically, I'm wondering if it has different sockets like the intel processors and motherboards or if they all just fit the same socket. Thank you for the help in advance :)
  12. I'm looking into buying a new SSD Boot drive really soon (40GB's is just not enough :S) and I need help on how to clone the operating system over to the new drive. If anyone could give me a semi-detailed step by step tutorial on how this process can be achieved then that would be awesome :) Some pictures of your screen or whatever would be much appreciated as well :D My idea for the drive ($140 budget :/) http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147188
  13. Hey guys/girls, just wondering if anyone heard of any kind of release date for the 900D? My friend wants to build a computer really soon and wants that case, but if it's not coming any time soon then he'll just go with the 800D :P Thanks for any help in advance :D
  14. definitelly, and yeah I might go with the h220, I saw that it's better in linus' videos. well, once I have enough money I'll see about the availability for it :P
