  1. Budget: N/A Country: US Uses: Gaming - Minecraft, Roblox, low end stuff Ok so I'm putting together my kids first computer and don't know which way to go with the CPU/GPU. Current options are as follows: 1. Ryzen 5 5600G 2. Ryzen 7 5700G 3. Ryzen 5 5600X + GTX 960 2GB I'm not holding out for AM5. I'm more curious on opinion about which would be best for upgradability in the future, as at some point it will get a better GPU. This may be my 2070 Super if I upgrade, or you know 3050's are actually properly priced IDK. I've been through plenty of reviews and benchmark vids on them, but if someone has some real world experience it would be great. Thanks.
  2. So I'm using Corsair 140mm LL fans. The PWM no longer works on the one and I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, or knows of a fix. Was working fine till just the other day. I moved my computer from downstairs to up and started noticing a weird whining noise. Played around with my system a little and that's when I noticed the issue. I'm controlling my fans through iCue. All the other ones work. Checked all my connections and nothings loose. I'm guessing I'll just have to buy a new one, but figured I'd ask around on here first. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Everything I'm looking at is pretty similar speed wise, and while the speed bump will be nice, I'm not really going to be doing much to take proper advantage of it. It's really just does the cache justify the higher price that models with it seem to have.
  4. I'm not necessarily looking to gain anything though is the thing. Again I'm just getting it to get it. It's really just do I get a Cached one for the extra longevity, or a non-Cached one that's a little larger since I won't really be pushing it hard. Storage space isn't really the issue either it's just if I can get a larger one I will.
  5. I'm already on an SSD. Have an older 500GB OCZ model, but I'd like to put that in my old rig which I'm giving to my dad. The NVME is a well why not kinda thing.
  6. Ok so looking at getting a NVME drive for my Boot Drive. Basically I'm at the point of do I get a model with a Cache and spend a little more, or get a cheaper one with a higher capacity. I'm not doing anything crazy with my system. Mainly gaming and some photoshop work. I've done my research and know the upsides to having the Cache, just not sure if it's worth it for me. Been looking at the following - Samsung 970 EVOPlus 500GB - WD SN750 500GB w/ Heatsink - Corsair Force MP510 960 GB
  7. It'll be going on an i7-970 so outdated doesn't horribly worry me.
  8. Ok so I have a old Corsair H50 and before I put out money for a new cooler is it possible to add liquid back into the loop? I'm just trying to revive an old rig for light use so if I don't have to put money into it that would be great. Thanks in advance.
  9. I'm using the H115i with a 8700K overclocked to 5.0 ghz, and it runs pretty good. Temps in the high 60's low 70's usually. Can hit high 70's if I load all my cores to max, but I'm generally not pushing my CPU that hard. Using LL fans instead of the included ML fans so don't know if that's affecting performance at all but I doubt it should be much.
