It makes sense that the good old rule that is "everything either has been breached, will be breached, or both" applies to VPNs as well

I do wonder about the timeline though.. Surely it shouldn't take 1,5 years to let your customers know they might be in trouble

I would just mention my opinion that the pump is not the problem here, the SPC pump is fine for a single GPU and radiator loop. The problem is most likely the card assembly.

mmmk, then I would honestly replace that pump with a DDC or D5 pump that has higher RPMs and a dedicate power source. Seems that pump is not up to the task of properly cooling your GPU.

ok, looking at your boards diagram, you should have the pump plugged into the upper right most fan header, labelled pump_fan1 Here is a picture from your manual detailing where exactly it is. This header outputs 2A instead of the standard 1A that most fan headers do. This will likely help you.

2400 rpm is extremely low to efficiently move the heat, this is likely your source of problem. What motherboard are you using?

Lemme check on that for you. Ill be back in a few and let you know which header would be best.

Im not sure if the order of the components matter, but i always do, in your case i would do, Pump > GPU > Rad > Res > Pump.  You seem to have the order in a backwards fashion.  It looks like you have it going Pump > Rad > Gpu > Res > Pump.  It is also coming in at the bottom of the res, to then work its way out of the top, which seems to me that would have to make the pump work harder, instead of using the natural flow of things going from the top to the bottom.  You may not be getting proper flow.

SPC pump is powered solely by a fan header.

I tried to adjust the loop in the lower point near the pump and the OC is stable at 2025 MHz (core) with 0.943 mV. Now I am getting 61 ºC under full load for 45 minutes. Not the best but it looks a bit better.

Eeeeeh no, that GPU shouldn't be that hot on any reasonable custom loop. They usually stay below that on air AFAIK.
^^^ If your coolant is hot then you're not moving fluid properly, and/or not getting the heat out of the fluid. Sure there's no gunk in the loop and everything is flowing right?

You do loops to avoid those temps when overclocking, as noted by a few of the experienced folks here - the temps are bad.  I agree with the likelihood of the block not properly touching the GPU die.  Also agree that the pump could be operating at a very slow speed - I run all my pumps on max, you should never hear them imho.

It makes little sense to me to be honest.
I have no experience with a custom loop btw.

But my 1080ti is very simmilar to 2080ti in power and heat output and if I can manage sub 60*C on a little 120mm AIO then I see no reason why you should be getting such high tempes with 240mm radiator on a custom loop.
I know my AIO is only contacting GPU and your water block also has to cool the VRM and VRAM so thats an added heat but I dont think it should make that much difference to the GPU temp.

I know my 2080ti in a full custom loop with CPU and GPU doesnt get above 55c at max load temps so hitting 80c under load with just the GPU sounds more like a mounting problem with the water block than anything.

My RTX EVGA 2080 ti XC runs in the 80s underload.
My RTX EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra runs in the 70s under load.

A water cooled 2080 ti should be in the 60s.

Also my normal overclock to maintain 2050 mhz is 72c on the 3 fan FTW3 Ultra. I run at 2070 mhz at 74c. It will go to 2100 mhz but the fans are too loud to maintain it.
With my XC (2 fan) card it is possible to maintain 2050 mhz but the fans are so loud that it is only good for benching.

I may get a third 2080 ti. A hybrid this time and going by the EVGA forums I should get 64 to 65c under load.

At 80c your loop is all show and no go because a 2080 ti downclocks well below that temperature.

They are, most GPUs take extremely well to AIOs or waterblocks due to the plate being right on the die, they don't have an IHS in-between that and the (usually copper) plate like CPUs do. Even my Vega GPUs stay cool, 53C max on the Vega FE I had, around 63C max (93 hotspot) or so on my Radeon VII if I pump in sliiiightly more than max voltage. A 2080 Ti will probably stay at around 55C max, most likely under.

Nvm, I haven't noticed there is side intake. Airflow should be sufficient then.

IDK what may cause the issue besides checking if the cooler is mounted properly as it may not be making a good contact with the GPU die.

What @Melndescribes is not an indication of bottlenecking.

Meln, which motherboard do you have? The VRM-s might be throttling.
